Local teams battle before break

Circle your calendars for Jan. 31. That is when the Fayette County and McIntosh basketball teams will meet again. If their games are anything like Friday night's games, you will not want to miss them.

SCAT take home four titles from state meet

SCAT brought home four championship titles from the Georgia Senior State meet in Augusta Dec. 12-15 and placed fifth overall. SCAT swimmers also set 14 new team records. Missing fourth place by only seven points, SCAT placed fifth out of about 20 teams from across the state.

Fayette wrestlers win Brookwood tournament

The FCHS wrestling team won the Brookwood Invitational this past Friday. Due to Brookwood being in the football finals the tournament format was altered a bit and the whole tournament was completed in one day. Fayette County was first, Chattahoochee was second and Brookwood was third.

PTC Skate Park announces holiday hours

The Peachtree City Skatepark will have special holiday hours. It will be open from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. from Thursday, Dec. 26-Tuesday, Dec. 31. The park will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. The hours on Jan. 2 through Sunday, Jan. 5 are also 1-6 p.m. On Monday, Jan. 6, the park will resume normal hours from 3:30 p.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays and from 1-6 p.m. on weekends. The skatepark is located at Shakerag Knoll on McIntosh Trail.
