Starr's Mill presents Wilder's classic "Our Town"

Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" chronicles life in a small town in America at the dawn of the 20th century. What has made the show such an enduring success is that the show illustrates the eternal truths of human existence. "Our Town" enjoyed critical success, winning the Pulitzer Prize, and is still popular with audiences today. Starr's Mill High School will present "Our Town" on Thursday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 12.

FCFT presents 'The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast'

The story of Beauty and the Beast is one of the more popular fairy tales of all time. Teaching the lesson that the only true beauty is inner beauty, Beauty and the Beast has been adapted as a musical, an animated classic, a television show and more. Fayette Coweta Family Theatre is putting their spin on the tale with their production of "The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast."

Westville offers a working 1850 Harvest Festival

There have been a lot of fall festivals around the area over the last few weekends and now Westville, Georgia's working 1850 town, will show visitors how people in the mid 19th century celebrated a harvest festival.

Fiesta on the Plaza' in PTC this Saturday

During the month of October the Peachtree City Library will feature displays celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. The library will also host its second "Fiesta on the Plaza" in front of City Hall on Saturday, October 12, 2002, from 2 ­ 5:30 p.m.

Next week is Teen Read Week

The Peachtree City Library will celebrate Teen Read Week, Oct. 13-19. There will be several activities during the week for both teens and children. There will be an art display from students of the local high schools running through Oct. 31. A reception will be held Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
