Most local football teams on the road tonight

The third week of the high school football season is upon us and teams are either looking to continue their winning ways or to right their ships fast. The only home games in the area tonight are Fayette County vs. Newnan and Northgate vs. North Clayton.

Lady Chiefs and Tigers stay perfect in region softball play

The McIntosh Lady Chiefs softball team added another victory to their undefeated season, beating Riverdale 10-2. Lily Yarbrough was on the mound for all seven innings striking out 11 batters, allowing no walks and giving up only one earned run.

PTC Tennis Center hosts number of events this weekend

The Peachtree City Tennis Center has played host to the Goody Products USTA Women's Pro Championship this week, featuring some very talented national and international players. The tournament action continues through Sunday with some additional, very special events.

Author of 'Barbara Nolan' plays to appear on Coweta TV program

David Wilson, the playwright and director of Grantville's annual "Barbara Nolan" comic vampire dramas, will be discussing this year's play "Barbara Nolan Meets the Werewolf" on the "People and Places in Coweta" television program next week.
