PTC Tennis Center hosts number of events this weekend

The Peachtree City Tennis Center has played host to the Goody Products USTA Women's Pro Championship this week, featuring some very talented national and international players. The tournament action continues through Sunday with some additional, very special events.

Friday's tournament play will set up the semifinal matches in both the singles and doubles fields. Admission to Friday's matches, which begin at 10 a.m., as well as the featured matches of the evening, which begin at 6 p.m., is free.

The tournament starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the semifinal matches and will be followed by the Georgia Tennis 25th Anniversary Celebration from 5-10:30 p.m. The Georgia Tennis Festival will feature fun, food, vendors and games, as well as Wilson Pro League matches at 5 and 8 p.m. and a celebrity/pro exhibition featuring Robby Ginepri, Brian Valhaly, Ellis Ferreira and Ansley Cargill. Admission to the entire day of action is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

The singles and doubles finals will take place on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. The High School "Shoot Out" Finals will follow the awards ceremony. Admission to Sunday's events are $5 for adults and $3 for children.
