Youth triathlon a resounding success

The 11th annual Peachtree City Youth Triathlon was held earleier ths month and was a gret success. Approximately 280 young athletes competed in this annual test of endurance. All of the contestants swam, biked and ran under beautiful, sunny skies. Thanks to the Peachtree City Recreatiion Department and the 120 volunteers, the race was run without incident.

Lazers capture second consecutive state title

Peachtree City's 87 Lazers White girls, last year's Region III finalists, are headed back to the Region III tournament this year.

In the wake of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals' decision Wednesday to rule the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because of the phrase "under God," it's time for a condensed history lesson so that those who continually try to push God farther out of American society can be reminded of why this country has survived and thrived these past centuries.
