My
parents' drug problem
By DR.
KNOX HERNDON
Pastor
Throughout my ministry
over the last 30 years, I would hear over and over from people who resented
their parents for one reason or the other. Often when I would invite
them to church, and I do that from 10-30 people a week, they would say
that the reason they don't go today is because "their parents"
drug them to church when they were under their roof. I always respond
with "you really had some great parents that loved and cared for
you and tried to lead you in the right path for the problems of life."
I would have appreciated people telling me that they "wished"
their parents had loved them enough to "take" them to church
each week and to give them the foundations they needed for life.
