Veteran newspaperman and Citizen Managing Editor Dave Hamrick died unexpectedly Wednesday night during a break in action at an adult soccer game in Fayetteville.

PTC Flash starts track season on right feet

The PTC Flash Track team coached by Rose Kempton and Jimmy Roberts competed against West Cobb Flyers, Cardinal Track Club and the Gazelles Track Club at Lassiter High School in Marietta this past Saturday. Rebecca Stokes had a good start on her way to a second State Championship winning both the 1600 and 800 for the 14 and under girls and Vince Brown also on his way towards his second State Championship, once again winning the High Jump. The 12UG took three firsts, six seconds, and five thirds in this first meet of their season.
