Lots of local high school athletics to watch this weekend By MICHAEL

The spring season of high school athletics keeps plugging along. In soccer, Sandy Creek's boys and girls defeated Creekside, McIntosh's boys and girls produced wins over Eagle's Landing and Fayette County and Fayette County's boys won over Newnan. Sandy Creek's boys beat Creekside on Tuesday night, 13-3, while the Lady Patriots won 8-0. Sandy Creek's boys and girls will play at Woodward Academy today with games beginning at 5:30 p.m. They will host Salem on Monday with games beginning at the same time. McIntosh's Lady Chiefs faced Fayette County on Tuesday night and won 7-0. The boys team played Eagle's Landing and won 8-0. The McIntosh girls will host Westminster tonight at 8 p.m. and the boys will host Clark Central at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Fayette County's girls will play at Spalding on Tuesday night, while the boys, who defeated Newnan, 1-0, on Tuesday night, will host Starr's Mill tonight at 8 p.m. The baseball season is also heating up as local teams continue to play in the Fayette Sports Preseason Classic. Starr's Mill will face Rockdale County tomorrow at Rockdale County at noon and 2 p.m. Fayette County will play in a doubleheader today, playing Banneker at 5 p.m. and Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. McIntosh hosted Landmark yesterday and will face Bowdon at home on Monday at 5 p.m. Our Lady of Mercy will host Bowdon on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Pike on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
