Residents can watch commission meetings at Stonewall Tell center

Fulton County Commissioner William "Bill" Edwards is providing South Fulton citizens two ways to participate in the zoning portion of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners meetings in 2002.

Citizens may attend the sessions in person in Assembly Hall, Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor St., S.W.

They can also participate via video-conferencing from the South Fulton Service Center auditorium, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park.

The meetings are always on Wednesdays and begin at 10 a.m. The 2002 dates for the South Fulton zoning meetings are April 3, June 5, Aug. 7, Oct. 2 and Dec. 4.

Cameras and microphones will capture the images and voices of participants at the service center and transmit them electronically to Assembly Hall. Each of the seven commissioners will be able to see the speakers and participate in live, two-way communication using small viewing screens installed at their seats.

The video-conferencing option is offered as a convenience to Fulton citizens who would prefer not to attend the meetings downtown.
