Patriots get big win over Creekside in big basketball weekend
Things
are looking up for the Sandy Creek Lady Patriots as they got their third
win in four games on Friday night. It was also payback as they handed
12th ranked Creekside a 46-45 loss. Creekside defeated them handily
earlier in the season.

Starr wrestlers win county middle school championship
Rising
Starr's wrestling team hosted the county middle school championships
last Saturday and emerged the 2002 county champions. Fayette Middle
School, the defending champions, finished third, while Whitewater Middle
School placed second. Rising Starr had eight champions out of 17 weight
classes. Whitewater had four champions, while Fayette Middle had three,
Booth had two and Flat Rock had one.

Tiger hurler signs with Florida Gators
The
University of Florida baseball program and new head coach Pat McMahon
announced the signing of Lee Roberson to a National Letter of Intent.
