Landmark
girls capture state track title
The
state track meet for high school girls was held last week and the Landmark
Christian School girls won the state title. The team amassed 148 total
points to capture the Class A championship.
One
team survives in state soccer playoffs
Six
of the seven local soccer teams from Region 4-AAAAA saw their seasons
come to an end over the weekend in the quarterfinals of the AAAAA state
soccer tournament. The only team to survive was the top ranked McIntosh
Lady Chiefs, who will play in the semifinals tonight.
Tennis
season ends in semifinals for McIntosh
The
season ended for the McIntosh boys and girls tennis teams at Stone Mountain
in the semifinals of the AAAAA playoffs. The girls faced Walton while
the boys played against Collins Hill.
Local
girls play for Atlanta's newest soccer team
In
Atlanta these days, soccer fans are singing, "We got the Beat."
