Tennis season ends in semifinals for McIntosh

The season ended for the McIntosh boys and girls tennis teams at Stone Mountain in the semifinals of the AAAAA playoffs. The girls faced Walton while the boys played against Collins Hill.

The Lady Chiefs lost to Walton, 3-1. Priscilla Roberts was the lone winner for McIntosh, winning her match as the number one singles player for the team, 6-2, 6-1. Rebecca Timmis lost at number two singles, 6-1,6-0 and Denise Daughenbaugh lost her match at number three singles, 6-2, 6-2. The doubles team of Sunya Sweeney and Adriane Hodges were pulled from their match as they were losing 4-6, while the team of Shelby Carlson and Renae Clarke lost their match, 6-2, 6-1.

The boys lost to Collins Hill, 3-1. The lone winner for the Chiefs was at number one singles. B.J. James won his match, 6-2, 6-3, while Robert Lochridge lost his match at number two singles, 6-1, 6-3. James Dwyer was pulled from his game at number three singles. He won the first set 6-3, but was losing in the second set. Mike Saheim and Sundeep Sood lost their match at number one doubles, 6-4, 6-4, while Phil Van Fossan and Justin hale lost at number two singles, 6-2, 6-3.
