Fayette County Baptists will be among thousands of Baptists from all over the nation gathering to hear former President Jimmy Carter give his keynote speech at the 2001 General Assembly of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) in Atlanta June 28-30.

Cary to speak at PTC Presbyterian Sunday

Carolyn Cary, co-founder of the Fayette County Historical Society, will be the featured speaker at the Men's Fellowship Meeting at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City Sunday, May 20. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room of the church.

Local seniors invited to participate in Christian City's Health and Fitness Day

Metro Atlanta Seniors will gather for the eighth annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day (NSHFD) on Wednesday, May 30, at Christian City. Christian City will serve as the official host site as Atlantans join an estimated 150,000 seniors at 1,500 sites across the nation as they walk, dance, play and learn their way to better fitness and health.

Holly Grove Church to have open house, historic displays

As a part of National Trust Preservation Week, May 13-19, Holly Grove A.M.E. Church in Peachtree City will have an open house Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., featuring church history displays.
