Tyrone First Christian seniors plan trip to Woodland

Seniors at the First Christian Church in Tyrone will attend Woodland Christian Camp, an annual event, on Thursday, May 17. The group will leave the church at 9 a.m. and return after lunch. The cost is $3 per person. For more information, call the church at 770-969-7346.

Third Thursday group plans trip to Alpharetta

Those age 55 or older or who are in full time retirement are invited to join the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church's Third Thursday fellowship group for an outing to the Town of Alpharetta Street Festival Thursday, May 17. The group will leave the church parking lot at 9 a.m. and will return at approximately 4 p.m. The trip is free, but reservations are required. Call the church office at 770-461-4313, ext. 17.

FUMC plans churchwide picnic

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a churchwide picnic on Sunday, May 20, from 4-7 p.m. at the Clayton County Water Authority's J.W. Smith recreation area. Those planning to attend are asked to bring picnic food to share, chairs or blankets and fishing poles. The church will provide drinks and paper products. Activities will include games, a picnic supper and singing.

McDonough Rd. kids to visit Noah's Ark

First and second graders at McDonough Rd. Baptist Church will visit Noah's Ark Animal Adventure on Wednesday, June 6, leaving at 10:30 a.m. and returning at 2:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per person. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a sack lunch. The church will provide drinks. Sign up at the church or call 770-460-5423 for more information.

Fayetteville Christian to present 'Nia' in concert

Contemporary Christian artist "Nia" will appear in concert at the Fayetteville Christian Church on Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. For more information, call the church at 770-461-8763.

Hope House schedules fashion show, luncheon

The third annual Hope House fashion show and luncheon is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel ballroom in college Park. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and lunch begins at 1 p.m. Seating is limited to 400 and tickets are $35 each. Tables are arranged to seat 10. Early reservations are suggested. Single Parent support group meets Tuesdays

Single Parent Support Group meets every Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 2564 Highway 154, in Newnan, The group provides encouragement and practical tools for coping with the demands of the single parent lifestyle. UMYF at Fayetteville First plans car wash

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a car wash Wednesday, May 30, from 5-7 p.m. in the north annex parking lot. Proceeds will go to missions.
