One Citizen's Perspective

Perception is everything in politics. Language, demeanor, image, and behavior all work in concert to shape our perception.

I have been so preoccupied in the last months with the, "Sean 'Puffy' Combs" trial, that I hardly noticed it was time for me to troll the world for really important events.

Mr. Bartlett, unless you've had a personal run-in with someone here that you're not telling us about, the tone and language about your neighbors is way out of line.

I had to laugh when I read Mr. Bartlett's letter in the Feb. 7 issue of The Citizen, in which he referred to Tyrone as "Bubbaville."

I have been following the articles focusing on Mayor Lenox's last year in office with great interest. His comments near the end of the article concern me the most.

A note to all of the parents who drive their precious kids to school on rainy days: Thank you for causing me (yet again!) to be late to school because your precious middle schoolers and freshmen cannot wait at a bus stop with an umbrella.

Brechin Park wins tower fight

On behalf of all the homeowners in Brechin Park, I want to thank you for coming to our meeting [Feb. 4]. Thank you also for putting our story on the front page! The power of the press is what helped to make our concerns known to all the other developments around us and to the members of the New Hope South Baptist Church.
