I have been so preoccupied

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Letter
opens eyes of one Tyrone resident
Well, gaw-lee-gee,
that thar' Mistah M. Barry Bartlett Sr. shore told us athang or two
in his letter printed in th' Feb. 7, 2001 edition of The Citizen, din't
he? I mean, all this time, I thunk I wuz livin' in a fine lil' town,
with fine naybers and sech, but he done straightened me out, yessirree
he did!
Tyrone
run by neighbors who do their best for residents
Mr. Bartlett, unless
you've had a personal run-in with someone here that you're not telling
us about, the tone and language about your neighbors is way out of line.
Tyrone
resident ready to help disappointed developer load U-Haul to move
I had to laugh when
I read Mr. Bartlett's letter in the Feb. 7 issue of The Citizen, in
which he referred to Tyrone as "Bubbaville."
Resident
loves Tyrone and is not 'dumb as dirt'
Mr. Bartlett stated
he had the unhappy experience of living among the "Dumb as dirt,
redneck as it gets, Bubbaville-thinking Town Council, Mayor, and residents
in Tyrone for the past 11 years."
One
of PTC's 'crazies' wants to change status quo leadership
I have been following
the articles focusing on Mayor Lenox's last year in office with great
interest. [The Feb. 2 Peachtree Citizen Review] article was especially
interesting and I have to say I am constantly amazed by the things Bob
Lenox says and the discourse being conducted between our city and county
leaders. His comments near the end of the article concern me the most.
Sumner
Road soon to share Smokerise's fate
I read with great
interest the cover story regarding Smokerise Crossing resident Gale
Bostwick and the impending paving of Sumner Road behind her home. Yes,
it will bring more traffic and noise to her backyard, and that is an
unfortunate situation.
Parents,
make your kids ride the schoolbus
A note to all of
the parents who drive their precious kids to school on rainy days: Thank
you for causing me (yet again!) to be late to school because your precious
middle schoolers and freshmen cannot wait at a bus stop with an umbrella.
Brechin
Park wins tower fight
On behalf of all
the homeowners in Brechin Park, I want to thank you for coming to our
meeting [Feb. 4]. Thank you also for putting our story on the front
page! The power of the press is what helped to make our concerns known
to all the other developments around us and to the members of the New
Hope South Baptist Church.
