On behalf of all the homeowners in Brechin Park, I want to thank you for coming to our meeting [Feb. 4]. Thank you also for putting our story on the front page! The power of the press is what helped to make our concerns known to all the other developments around us and to the members of the New Hope South Baptist Church.

As of 2 p.m. [Feb. 12], I confirmed with the Fayette Zoning Department that the church has withdrawn its application for the cell phone tower. There will be no meeting on Feb. 26, and the best part is that there will not be a tower 600 feet behind our homes. I hope that this gives others confidence to fight for what they believe is right. We can win!
