FAA gets an earful at 5th runway hearing

They came from the hamlets and villages scattered on the south side of Atlanta to let officials know that a fifth runway for Hartsfield's International Airport would affect their lives.

Tourists from around the Southeast flock to such shopping destinations as Chattanooga's Warehouse Row and Atlanta's Ellsworth Industrial area.

Sheila Crews hates to let the secret out, but knows it's in the county's best interest.

Fulton County District 7 Commissioner William "Bill" Edwards has released a synopsis of an upcoming Fulton County consultant's report on the potential impacts of the proposed fifth runway at Hartsfield International Airport.

East Coweta rifle team seeks to defend their title

The East Coweta High School state champion rifle team began their season right where they left off last year, by defeating their first two opponents. The Indians defeated Woodward 1119-1087 and Westlake 1140-1050.

Basketball teams have an up and down Tuesday

Tuesday night's basketball action was filled with many ups and downs for the local teams. Some losing streaks mercifully came to an end, while other teams started losing trends.

Area wrestling meets to be held this weekend

If you have been following the high school wrestling season, this is a big weekend for you. Starting tonight at 5 p.m. and continuing tomorrow, the area meets will be held all over the state and the top four wrestlers from each weight class in the meets will advance to the state meet.

Fayette County swim meet to be held in Atlanta

The Fayette County swim meet will be held outside of the county this year.
