The Starr's Mill
Panthers finished the regular season of wrestling at home Saturday in
fashion by winning the Panther Duals meet.
Swimmers
to compete in county meet this Friday
The county swimming
championships will be held at the Kedron Aquatic Center in Peachtree
City Friday at 5 p.m.

Starr wrestling team takes second at championships
The Rising Starr
Middle School wrestling team placed second at the 2001 Metro Middle
School Athletic League Wrestling Championships at Union Grove Middle
School in Henry County.

Softball league meeting to be held on Thursday

has been designated as the date for the organizational meeting for the
coming spring adult softball program.

recreation departments form wheelchair basketball league
The Fayette County
Recreation Department, Peachtree City Recreation Department and Tyrone
Recreation Department have combined efforts to provide a wheelchair
basketball program for those individuals with physical disabilities.

It
certainly will not be a fowl affair at Fisharama this weekend, although
country music fans will spot a Byrd there this weekend Tracy Byrd, that

Lady
Lakers get first conference win against Lander
Clayton College
& State University freshman Amber Wood scored 24 second-half points,
including 10 straight free throws in the final 45 seconds of the game,
leading the Lady Lakers to their first conference win of the season
Saturday, 88-84 over Lander University.
