County recreation departments form wheelchair basketball league

The Fayette County Recreation Department, Peachtree City Recreation Department and Tyrone Recreation Department have combined efforts to provide a wheelchair basketball program for those individuals with physical disabilities.

The program will be held every Tuesday night begining Feb. 6 and continuing until Feb. 27 from 7-8 p.m. at the Tyrone Elementary School gym.

Participants must be six years old and older and have access to a wheelchair. Anyone interested in registering for this program should call Anita Godbee at 770-461-9714 ext. 5641.
