Obsession with the *neighbors* I thought the favorite target for the ire of Fayette Countians was Riverdump...err...Riverdale and Clayton County. Hey, no need to stop there....Tyrone and Fairburn are now the new hot-spots for gripes! As far as I know, when I moved to PTC many years ago, I wasn't moving into Riverdale or Clayton. Nothing I see in PTC looks like Riverdale. There is a real lack of pawn shops, title loans, tacky convenience stores and check-cashing outfits. So, I don't sense PTC is going to look like Riverdale any time soon, even though we have Satan-approved shopping at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and soon Target. I know I would much prefer to burn gas and time going to Newnan to shop instead of in my own community, but hey, I roll like that! Enough with Riverdale already. I don't care about Riverdale or the people that live in Riverdale. I don't vote in Riverdale or pay taxes in Riverdale. So now there is Tyrone and Fairburn. Yeah, the recently added 37 stoplights that are now on Hwy 74 are a pain but who thought the *town* of Tyrone was never going to develop any land? You do realize that in order to build a house, you have to develop land? And guess what comes next? Those people living in those houses want SHOPPING that's not too far away so you have to develop more land? Oh my God, the horrors! How dare they! Fairburn? Fairburn is in FULTON COUNTY last I checked. Like Riverdale, it's in a different county. That means as PTC residents our voice means nothing to what they do. We can either sit around moaning about *I feel so powerless, the whole world in closing in on me!* or get on with our lives. The supreme arrogance of some to try and dictate what other cities and counties do is beyond me. Get over yourselves already. On an entirely different subject, let's talk about what all our hot-air and highly-intelligent opinions can change. How about the City *slogan?* "Plan to Stay* ? Ugh. PTC: Don't Move Here, We're Full. You're Not Welcomed Here I moved to PTC and all I got was this stupid GEM car. My little Joey would never do that!
