Deputies Crash Home

This is totally ridiculous. A warrant was issued for a man already in jail? Don't they crosscheck using a computer with a database before issuing these? Seems so, so noone would get hurt. Who gets shot next? A child? Who does these things? Then after the deputy fired, because he felt so threatened, he went over to check on the dogs well-being. Well, if he felt so threatened why did he go near the dog a second time? So he could shoot a second time?

The incident was totally uncalled for and a family pet had to suffer the consequences of a trigger happy deputy who claims he shot the dog because he believed the dog would attack him. As for the story about going over to check on the dog.....a good point to add to his report. The deputy was after the arrest, he was on a mission, why in the heck would he stop to see about a dog he just shot? He would not and he did not, in my opinion, give a rat's arse if he killed the dog. As for the shot in the dog's mouth.....probably a missed shot. The deputy probably aimed at the dog's head, for one swift blow, but missed and shot the dog in his mouth. Personally, I hope the owner has a good attorney.
JUST MY OPINION.

Go to Proud LEO's blog on this site "what you can do" I asked him some improtant questions. It exlains how something like this could happen.

This paper should have asked these questions to begin with instead of trashing our sheriff's dept.

The deputies were serving a warrant for Clayton county which since you don't live here, is a worthless crime cesspool.
When they arrested this guy in May and notified clayton county apparently the warrant was never cleared from the computer.

Between May and Aug. it would have been easy for this guy to get out on bail and rack up another warrant. It happens all of the time. These officers had no idea this wasn't a new warrant.
I think clayton county is still processing murders from months ago, hard to keep up when you have alot of crime.

Go to Proud LEO's blog, it is on the second page of blogs.
