For the first time in years, it will be a quiet election year in Senoia.

When qualifying had ended Wednesday afternoon, only two candidates had qualified for the two seats up for election this year.

Maurice Grover, who replaced Councilman Perry Benson earlier this month, qualified for one post. Benson resigned after moving out of the city limits.

The other qualifier was Bobby Graham, who is a systems analyst, and is a recent resident in the city.

Incumbent Councilman Bill Wood chose not to run for re-election.

What Bill got tired of people w/ nothing better to do photo-ing his wife's quilting bee? No one may be running but there is plenty of petty politics goin' on.
