A Fayetteville woman was robbed at gunpoint while walking from her car to her home just before midnight Sunday, police said.

The woman was accosted by three black males who took her brown leather purse, which contained $500 and other items, police said. The offenders were between 18 and 20 years old, police said.

The victim, who owns a restaurant in East Point, may have been followed to her residence before the robbery, but the suspects initially got away on foot, police said.

Immediately after the incident, a police officer sealed off the entrance to the subdivision but a search for the offenders turned up empty, police said.

When the robbery occurred, the victim’s husband remained in the car, police said.

The robbery occurred on Pecan Ridge Drive, in southeast Fayetteville.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

Hmmm, is it just me or is anyone else wondering why her husband just remained in the car??? Mine would have been out of that car in a flash and one of,if not all,the losers would have been under arrest.Am I alone in thinking something is fishy here?
