Tyrone Publix drug deal gone sour...where are the details?

There has been NOTHING in the Citizen or the AJC about the deal at Publix about 730p last night!
That was a MAJOR DEAL! People were shot at in a full parking lot and then others almost hit!
Someone said they gave SOME info on TV, but everyone is very quiet about it. Maybe cause there wasn't any WHITE teens from good families around here whos names they could print!
I was in publix, pulling out of their parking lot onto the Weiland entrance and about to go 74 when I heard maybe 8/10 shots! Then an unmarked white SUV did a U turn almost hit me. He then turned on his blue lights, I counted at least 3 tan SUVS and God knows what else, with their light on. It was unbelievable! They went up 74 toward 85 like bats out of hell! A little Beyond Milam Rd the truck they were chasing rearended a car full of people and hurt them badly. The truck was upside down in the road n it looked like a gunshot into the drivers side of the cab. Did he hit the people because the cops shot him during the chase? or was he hit in the parking lot?
I know they knew this was going down earlier because I saw Tyrone's tobaco spitting Starsky sitting up by Chaps eyeballing the 74 intersection there before I went in Publix. I thought it was handled badly. Anyone crossing that intersection on a golf cart as I has seen them do, they would have been a grease spot in the road! The people in the car the drug dealer hit looked like they were hurt badly. Why did they have to take such chances with so many people there? They could have followed them down the road or had someone cut them off rather than endanger so many people. Then to add insult to injury the papers print nothing cause it's not some of PTC kids. Just plain on drug dealers. Some people have all the luck.

You want someone to be mad at? Be mad at the drug dealers, and be mad at the kids who are buying the drugs, and be mad at the parents here who give their kids money for drugs.
Bottom line is those drug dealers didn't come here on a whim. They were here because of all of the kids that are regular customers. They are here because we have careless lazy idiot parents here, that is why they were here.
None of that would have happened if there weren't customers here.
When you hear gunfire get down, if you are in your car pull off to the side get out of the way. Yes all of what happened Thursday night happened very quickly, but this isn't Mayberry any more. Snap out of it and get ready to react when you hear gunfire and sirens. No I wasn't there this time, but I have been in Buckhead when a similar situation happened. I pulled my car off of the road as far as I could and stayed there until the smoke cleared. We are going to have to get used to thinking on our feet.
Thank you again to all of the officers who have put their lives on the line. I am sorry you had to do that, and that you were put in that situation.

By the way there is a reason why golf carts are not supposed to cross that intersection.

First off you are a twit and you need to go back to school and learn the English language. I wouldn't take anyone too serious who writes and I quote directly "as I HAS seen them do".

Now you have a right to your opinion however ridiculous it may be. The cops did what they had to do to keep MORE innocent people from getting hurt. I feel bad about the few that did get injured but imagine if that guy had gotten away. A few weeks later comes back to sell more dope things go bad and he snaps. YOU are walking out of Publix and one of his shots hits you or a child or other people. KILLING ALL instead of injuring a few.

You and the self righteous hypocrites like you are why the police cannot do their jobs the way the should. Had they backed off and let him go then you would be crucifying them for letting him get away. Had they shot and killed him (which I think they should have) you'd be calling them murderers.

This whole nation needs to quit worrying about PLEASING everyone and start taking out the problem. The cops are not to blame. The whole thing could have been avoided had the dealer just ......1. not been selling that crap and 2.JUST NOT RUN FROM POLICE

Post another blog and prove me wrong I dare you

If it were up to you, the drugs would be on the street right now. If you were so concerned for your safety why did you drive up to the wreck scene MILES away? The only reason you heard shots was because the bad guy tried to KILL officers. Maybe you should write him in jail and ask that he not do that next time. Your gripe is not with the officers, it's with the dope dealer.

I hate your attitude toward our officers and the work they do. If the drug dealer would have gotten away, you would be posting a blog about the local starsky that stood by and did nothing. People like you hate cops till your kids act up and you need help controlling them.

and try to write real big and s.l.o.w....
The rest of us know better...if you are shot at in a full parking lot...I know darlin...I was there! (I might have been the shot ee!)
he (drug dealer, was in his truck when they shot at him, (that was a good sign he might be trying to leave} they should have/could have/ followed him down the road to a better spot..(horse pastures of either side of road, no people) that was all that was between Publix and he hit those people, and did a better job of it. What I am saying is Starky needs to leave the tobaco juice alone (he was late to the party by the way) Me? and some of us do travel down 74 to 85...that is why it is a highway darlin! A lot more people could have been hurt.

the police didn't want the bad guy to run. the police wanted the bad guy to lay on the ground and confess and go to jail for the next 20 years. I relize that while he was driving up 74 he had on his seat belt, made sure his mirros were ajusted, used turnsignals, stopped at every redlight, obayed the speed limit, (if the speed limit was 100+), making sure it was safe to change lanes, and even went to the point of having his arm out the window to signal left and right when he changed lanes and while you (thankfully didn't get your head blown off but will critisize the situation) caused the accident injuring 2 people after trying to buy a crap load of drugs. Get used to it. Fayette County is slowly turning into Fulton County. If you dont like it, move back to College Park or go to Canada.

I always think of folks like you as the "why didn't he just shoot the gun out of his hand?" people.

However, following your other posts tells me logic isn't your strong suit, so I won't bother to point out that following the bad guys in the hope they'd eventually drive to an isolated area with the police behind them is not much of a plan.

The drug dealers choose the spots for these meetings and they choose parking lots for the same reason Hezbollah fires missles from among the citizens. Seeing how you love to complain, I haven't the slightest doubt we'd hear from you long and loudly if our police decided not to pursue drug dealers for that reason.

"the drug dealers choose these spots for these meetings and the choose parking lots for the same reason Hezbollah fires missles among citizens."
that ..KNOWING THIS..YOU DON'T HAVE PLAN B? Jesus! using your logic on 9/11 they would have shot down all the planes in the air instead of doing a very carefull, life saving plan of ordering all ..other planes down..and then who's still up...could be the bad guys...I am glad you are ...CONFINED.. to a small area!

You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you.

Yes, I am very sorry to hear that innocent people were hurt. However, the agents did not intentionally set out to make sure that the citizens of Fayette County get injured. I can only imagine what kind of feelings they are having to deal with today. Unfortunately with trying to take out these type of thugs, you don't always get cooperation.

Keep reading, jackass. Maybe you'll find it, maybe not.

It is surely not my responsibility to spoon-feed you internet links. I posted some some for you already and I posted the AJC link for someone whose manners are better than yours. Look around.

Yes, you're right. All that copying and pasting is so much easier than clicking on a link. Makes you wonder why they bothered coming up with that whole "hyperlink" thing.

Of course, clicking on my link would have actually taken you to the correct page instead of this one, but why quibble?

Did not know I feel for you to be in the middle of a gun fight at Publix. I know people got hurt, but that is just the way Law Enforcement has to do it. They have to go in and stop them in there tracts. You see the show where police have a high speed chase to stop an individual ASAP before they hurt someone else...It was unfortunate but that is just the way it happened, you are just hypersensitive to the situation because you got scared...Just ask yourself a question if you were one of the rest of Fayette Citizens would you have written this blog? Maybe not because you were not in the middle, the rest of us understand the Police did the right thing. Maybe one of the officers was a little late he will have to write his report and then it is reviewed buy his superiors they will make that call..Just be thankful you were not hurt, and I hope that other drug dealers (scum of the earth) remember that the Police do not fool around here in Fayette County..

Heck yea we should profile why not who cares what the people think we need results in this kind of world not the far left crying because a drug dealer is not getting his rights...
