Parents arrested after kids found drinking at partyTue, 08/22/2006 - 4:51pm

Fayetteville police responded to scene on noise complaint Two Fayetteville parents were arrested Friday night after police received complaints of a loud party at a home on Running Bear Trail. The home is in the city’s northwest sector, off Hood Avenue. Robert Allan Barczynski, 36, and Roberta R. Barczynski, 43, of 140 Running Bear Trail were charged with maintaining a disorderly house and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said. They admitted to officers that they knew alcohol was present but said they didn’t know anything about the drugs, police said. When officers first arrived at the scene, Bradley Werho, 17, of 205 Fontaine Way, Fayetteville, tried to run away but was caught by an officer who chased him on foot, police said. Werho was charged with underage possession of alcohol and obstruction of a police officer, police said. Also arrested were seven other teenagers at the party for underage possession of alcohol, including: • Heather M. Barczynski, 19, of 140 Running Bear Trail, Fayetteville; • Christie Leigh Wood, 19, of 160 Brittany Chase, Fayetteville; • Jeremy Allen Wang, 17, of 185 Poplar Way, Fayetteville; • Christian Lee Vanasoh, 19, of 140 Bob White Trail, Fayetteville; • Jody Rodney Landrum, 17, of 126 Vaughn Road, Fayetteville; • A 16-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville; • A 15-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville, who also was charged with possession of marijuana; and • A 16-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville, who also was charged with possession of marijuana. Officers used a breathalyzer to determine who had been drinking, police said. login to post comments |
