Fayetteville police responded to scene on noise complaint

Two Fayetteville parents were arrested Friday night after police received complaints of a loud party at a home on Running Bear Trail. The home is in the city’s northwest sector, off Hood Avenue.

Robert Allan Barczynski, 36, and Roberta R. Barczynski, 43, of 140 Running Bear Trail were charged with maintaining a disorderly house and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

They admitted to officers that they knew alcohol was present but said they didn’t know anything about the drugs, police said.

When officers first arrived at the scene, Bradley Werho, 17, of 205 Fontaine Way, Fayetteville, tried to run away but was caught by an officer who chased him on foot, police said. Werho was charged with underage possession of alcohol and obstruction of a police officer, police said.

Also arrested were seven other teenagers at the party for underage possession of alcohol, including:

• Heather M. Barczynski, 19, of 140 Running Bear Trail, Fayetteville;

• Christie Leigh Wood, 19, of 160 Brittany Chase, Fayetteville;

• Jeremy Allen Wang, 17, of 185 Poplar Way, Fayetteville;

• Christian Lee Vanasoh, 19, of 140 Bob White Trail, Fayetteville;

• Jody Rodney Landrum, 17, of 126 Vaughn Road, Fayetteville;

• A 16-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville;

• A 15-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville, who also was charged with possession of marijuana; and

• A 16-year-old juvenile of Fayetteville, who also was charged with possession of marijuana.

Officers used a breathalyzer to determine who had been drinking, police said.

For those who think these are the only parents allowing their kids to drink, dream on!! These are not the only kids drinking in Fayetteville. Almost every teenager will drink at someone's house at some point. And most likely, your kids have drank at your house without you even knowing it! It's better to know where our kids are drinking and knowing that they are staying the night at this house rather than going out driving. You all should spend more time educating your kids about drinking and being responsible rather than being in denial that your kids aren't drinking!

For the lovely lady who said that these people shouldn't breed, where are you from? We are not dogs, we are humans. You do not know anything about this family. I happen to know this family and they are the best people in the world! They would do anything to help someone out. Just b/c the kids were drinking does not mean they are horrible people. The kids were all planning on sleeping over. No one was going to drive or leave. But of course the article doesn't mention that.

The citizens of Fayette County should stop and look at their own family instead of making judgments on others! Do you know what your kids are doing when they say they are going to "hang out"??? I seriously doubt it!!

This is so sad: the boy who ran seems proud of himself, he has a copy of this article in his car.

There's a smart one. Couldn't be a better way to identify him. Laughing out loud

I just wish some parents had better sense than that. And I'll bet they would be surprised if their little angel got into an accident from drunk driving and killed someone one day. Some people just shouldn't breed...

What is with parents and allowing UNDERAGE kids to drink? Do they think it's alright? Just because they were in their house does not make it right in any sense (but I'm sure they already knew that). I'm glad FPD acted on the call and took care of the situation. Maybe now those parents will get a clue (but maybe not). Good job guys.

Thank you, FPD, for paying attention to an anonymous tip, when you could've blown it off as a sour grapes or prank call. I am impressed with the response given, and have nothing but praise for how it all went down.

Thanks FPD guys. Well done. Can we publicly flog these parents? "Gee...we knew they were drinking but the drugs??? OMG!"

I wonder whose 15 and 16 year old kids these dirtbags enabled into the drug and alchohol scene?
