Brown - Please concede.

The results are in, and it is my opinion that for the sake of the City, its taxpayers and its sanity, Steve Brown should concede a runoff election and save everyone the time and effort (and cost of a runoff).

Mr. Brown - 93% of the precincts are reporting, and nearly 6000 people DID NOT VOTE FOR YOU. While there was not a statistical majority for one person, the for/against vote is profoundly telling - 79% of those who voted for mayor DIDN'T VOTE FOR YOU. Assuming that the votes for Boswell, Tennant, and Thompson go to Logsdon, you would only have 1642 votes (I took out the 14 that wrote in others, since they didn't want anybody on the list and gave you Arterburn's). Assuming the votes for the other candidates just go away entirely (which they won't), you'd still lose handily.

Please do the entire city a favor. Call Harold Logsdon, tell him he is the victor. Call a press conference and announce you are not going to seek reelection. Then we can all return to our quiet lives.

The people have spoken - they want you gone.

The silent majority has just about allowed the business/banker/builder click to once again rule the roost. I will be the first to admit that some of Steve Browns antics have been a bit childish at times, but all of these outbursts combined have not caused the problems visited upon our city today by the previous administration and those that will be caused by another, like administration.

I don't care that Mayor Brown has a troubled relationship with the county, he fought for a fairer portion of the SPLOST and for relief from double taxation for EMS, and, no, the county commissioners didn't like it... tough, we didn't elect him to be liked! He has pissed off those associated with the tennis center by making it stand on its own instead of being subsidized by the residents... tough, if you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to finance it! He has upset those business/banker types who believe that we should repay a backroom, good-ole-boy generated loan by refusing to do so... tough, next time don't make loans that you know are not on the straight and narrow!

Everyday, Steve Brown makes decisions based on what's best for the RESIDENTS of PTC, not the bankers/builders and business owners. And because he has elected to fight this extremely vocal minority, he has suffered their wrath as well as that of their PAC and its arrogant, egotistical, self-centered elitist mouthpiece. I do not want someone as mayor who will make every decision based upon what will most benefit builders/bankers and business owners (and in their warped perception, PTC). I don't want a mouthpiece for the last administration and I don't want someone who accepted their money to get elected and is, therefore obligated, to see things their way. Since Logsdon didn't have the backbone to run without this tainted money, since he didn't just run issue to issue, and since I already feel his hands in my pocket looking for the $'s needed to reward the unethical and immoral practices of the PNC, I want no part of him. I want someone who will look out for me, a resident of this city, nothing more, nothing less... and we have that with Mayor Steve Brown. So, if you are, first and foremost, a resident of this fine city, elect the man who will represent US to the best of his ability... So GET OUT AND VOTE!!! Reelect Steve Brown!!!

And Lenox, PAC, and friends, don't bother with that worn out, childish attempt to again attribute this attack upon your values and your lackey as another letter from Steve Brown. Though I do not make your money, nor travel in your circles, I am intelligent enough to articulate my own opinions and my 25 years in our active duty military gives me the tenacity to express them.

I love logic puzzles and exercises in deductive reasoning.

While I will not say Mr. Logsdon would or would not be a better mayor than Mr. Brown I will say your logic here is flawed.

If everyone who voted votes again and there is no changes in those who voted for Logsdon and Brown and Brown gets 3 out of 5 votes from those who voted for others he wins.

The statistical manipulations you put forwarded sound good until analyzed.

Not telling anyone who to vote for. But efforts such as this to dissuade people from voting by trying to make them feel it is futile to vote is not what a PTC needs.

We need to encourage people to vote their conscience simply because too many have been persuaded it is a total waste of time.

Let the ballot box (or machine) do the speaking.

as is the possibility that an earthquake will hit Georgia with the same force as the ones in Asia recently. It can happen, but past precedent has shown it is highly unlikely. Given the harsh criticism Brown had for at least two of the three other candidates I referred to, I would have a hard time justifying him getting support from those voters.

So my logic may not be fully extrapolated, but I believe my emotional point was made. I do NOT want people not to vote - in fact I said that they would probably vote again. I hope they would all vote for Logsdon.

Voting, as you may have noticed by my other comment, is NOT a waste of time. In fact, I implored those who voted today to encourage others to vote as well.

Thanks for your constructive criticism and for keeping me on my toes.

I want to see Steve cook up some kind of global conspiracy theory as to why most don't want to see him re-elected and call a press conference! Get on the cable channel! Call Cal! 911!

I am not happy just with seeing Steve lose, I want to see him buried by like a 80-20 margin. Run Steve, don't quit now.

I did NOT vote for Steven but quit beating a dead horse, accept victory gracefully.

Your Steve fixation will be filled as a former Mayor, like Lennox, we will be hearing from his many letters about how he could do things better. Look for a run in 4 years.

I assume it's not a compliment.

I didn't run for anything so I don't have to worry about accepting anything gracefully.

PLEASE, voters of Peachtree City, DO NOT FORGET TONIGHT. Turnout was 35% (almost 8,000 voters out of 20,000). YOU speak for the City, for those who didn't care to drive the 5 minutes and click a few keys. YOU are the voice of the people.

On December 6, come back again, if Brown doesn't concede defeat before then. Invite those who didn't vote. Tell them of the message you sent today. Make SURE Brown doesn't come back.

Vote AGAIN.
