Incident on cart path near Harmony Village Peachtree City police have identified the three suspects responsible for attacking a 14-year-old visitor from out of town on the cart path near Harmony Village Apartments. Police Chief James Murray told the City Council Thursday night that police are searching for the suspects, who were identified with cooperation from residents who live in the apartment complex. Because apartment residents are often afraid to come forward, they have a specially designated police officer to work with so they can be protected, Murray said. The victim was assaulted early Tuesday evening by three black males in their late teens who first asked him for a ride to the south Publix. The victim declined and then one of the suspects jumped him from behind in a choke hold and punched him in the eye, Murray said. Then all three suspects took to hitting and kicking the victim, but the suspects later fled the scene, Murray said. They did not get any money from the victim nor did they get One of the suspects wore his hair pulled back in a pony tail which was possibly braided and wore a white T-shirt draped over his head from his forehead to the back of his shoulders, police said. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the city’s Crime Watch line at 770-487-6010. Callers may remain anonymous. The victim was visiting the area from Cedar Rapids Iowa, police said. login to post comments |
