The only way to really know who to vote for is to go to the City Council, Commission and any other meetings in the county where elected officials conduct your business. It is eye opening what you will learn and also find out how a county is run. My friend and I went to meetings every week, for years, and learned very quickly who was doing a good job and who was not. Most of the commissioners in the past were of the self-serving kind,(my personal opinion) wanting to further their own businesses or careers. I can't say that about most of the present Commissioners. This group has been the best in the last 20 years. Not perfect mind you but doing a good job with our Tax dollars and keeping growth under control with our infrastructure. I believe Dunn was by far the most intelligent commissioner we have had in the last 20 years. He will be sadly missed. Lets hope the newly elected commissioner will be as good.
We elect these people and they should all be above reproach but sadly for all of us this is not the case. We have to be careful whom we elect. Go to a meeting every now and then you will see for yourself how things are done and who is doing a good job with our Tax Dollars. To blindly elect people just because some bloggers have a way with words is not a reason to vote for anyone, just the opposite.
On the Sheriff, I believe the question is, Why, Why won't the Sheriff and his department be forth coming with all the information that is needed. Everyone has to answer to someone. I as a taxpayer want to know how my Tax money is being spent. No one is above the law and that goes double for Law Enforcement and Politicians.

She has almost the same article on one of her websites,FayetteForum.org.

Not only that, only Janet would ever say that Greg Dunn was the smartest Commissioner we've had in twenty years. The ironic thing about that statement is Greg was still in New York twenty years ago and knows nothing about the Commissioners of the last two decades. I expect Chip Connor, Rose Marie Harper, Grace Caldwell, Joe Bray and some of the others would disagree with her.

Still the same old dribble about the Sheriff not being forthcoming after five audits and nothing being found. Janet we had hoped we voted you out when we did Greg. Go away somewhere and pout and spare us your bulls&%t.

Speaking of Commissioners- are you implying you would rather keep a commissioner that cannot abide by the B.O.C. Ethics Ordinance?
Why are you not defending Linda Wells?
