Police chase car on cart path

Was anyone part of that massive cart path traffic jam behind the Kedron Aquatic Center early Saturday evening?

Police had cart traffic stopped in all directions, evidently they had chased a Ford Taurus onto the cart paths.

They eventually arrested the guy in front of about 50-60 spectators, and then a police officer drove the fellow's car back up to the street.

Why Can't We Get Local NEWS??

I think the bigger question here might not be 1.) What happened on the path behind the aquatic center, 2.) What happened at The Avenue the other day, a drug bust? 3.) What was the result of that bad car wreck on Dogwood Trail last week...but WHY can't we ever get updates on local news that DON'T involve the local politicos??? Why are we forced to resorting to asking our neighbors to update us on the goings on in our community? I used to live in a planned community in Miami where the motto of the local newspaper was "Only the news fit to print!"...is it the same way here?

Reporters here are just like reporters at any paper; they have don't just divine what's going on out of the blue. Feel free to call any of them and let them know there was a drug bust at the Avenue. The other drug-arrest is detailed elsewhere on the website but was likely done after you posted. As for accidents,, there are so many car wrecks in Fayette County, covering them would be pointless and voluminous.

Besides, we can't even get the arrest reports online any more (Fairburn seems to be the only one printed here now and that's in another county). This site has become nothing more than a place to spout mindless gossip and reactionary politics. It's sad, frankly.

Drunk teen joy riding on the cart paths, just like they were 2 weeks ago? Typical, they are bored you know?!!!
