Peachtree City police are investigating a robbery that occurred at The Herb Shop on Commerce Drive Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect was still at large almost three hours after the incident, which occurred at 2:17 p.m in the Westpark Walk shopping center, police said.

The suspect matches the description of another armed robbery that occurred last week at The Herb Shop in Fayetteville, police said. Police declined to release a more detailed description of the suspect, but said several leads were being followed up on as the investigation stretched into early Wednesday evening.

The County Sheriff’s Department assisted by providing its helicopter unit and additional patrol and K-9 units to search, police said.

It is not clear if the suspect was armed, although the employee who was accosted said she thought he had a gun in his hand, police said.
