A fresh taste of old Fayette

George Ingram sells tomatoes from his truck parked off Jeff Davis Drive to a passerby Monday. Ingram, of Fayetteville, grows all of his own tomatoes in his back yard.

I miss the George Ingrams of this world. I miss Nub and whoever it was that used to sell Silver Queen Corn close to where Mr. Ingram is peddling his tomatoes now. We need to swing buy tommorrow and buy him out. His are probably better than those fake ones at Kroger.

Don't make me get up and make a tomatoe sandwich with salt, pepper and mayonnaise this time a night. I don't need it.

I don't remember Nub ever driving a red Tahoe though. Price of tomatoes must've gone up.
