Government school

I am surprised that Fayette county residents are putting up with this socialist behavior from the school board. If I had children in school- I would be protesting. Perhaps even hiring a lawyer to sue the school board.

If an older child decides he is no longer under anyone's authority- then it is the child who should suffer the consequences. Isn't that the way things really work? If you decide not to go to work on a repeated basis- do you get fired or do your parents? Why don't we let the kids who are too big for parents experience the real world?

However parents, instead of thinking of the words "public school" think of it as "government school". You know as a citizen, that the government is obtrusive. Do they not know everything about you? So to be fair to our invasive government system, If you send your children to a government school- you should expect government results.

Parents are lazy now. One of the hardest and most time-consuming things to do is to take a messed-up teen-ager in hand and make sure they stay out of jail, get at least a GED, and enter college. All of that takes pretty much all of your spare time. Pregnant daughters, disorderly conduct charged sons---even multible times---can be moved on to success. You have your life until you have children, and you have it after they graduate college, maybe, but in between it is your children's life. What duty could be more satisfying?
