Forget the election results. Forget the Lebanon issues. The dream has come true. NOW you can finely drive from Newnan to Fayetteville on 4 lanes. AWESOME! I think I will just go and drive back and forth and enjoy from my years of suffering....

That folks aren't raving about Hwy. 54. What say you everyone? Is it really a dream come true or what?

Please, share with us your horror stories ... and how much time it's saved you.

You may have noticed the big ATL paper did a series on the Olympics legacy in terms of facilities. Hwy. 54 is a legacy that would've been done 5-10 years ago had the Olympic money not been sucked into ATL for road projects.

All those billions should've been used to dramatically improve MARTA infrastrucutre. Oh well. There's a reason we all live here in the 'burbs, right?

... they still need to re-time the lights so that you don't have to wait half an hour to leave home depot/best buy/avenue.

It WAS heavenly to drive from McDuff to McIntosh High and back, then all the way to Newnan yesterday with no traffic and smooth sailing! Just remember to set your cruise control at the proper limits because it is way too easy to drive over that limit and I already saw the Coweta Patrol out watching and waiting. Drive safe and lets all enjoy our new digs!
