Publix Alert!!!!!

PUBLIX ALERT!
I recently wrote a check at Publix on 54 for an estimated $21.00 over the amount of the grocery purchase last week. I was hit with a service fee for doing such a thing. I only noticed it when the cashier counted my change back to me. Old saying… ”no shirt, no service”, New saying…. “You charge fee, no more me”. No notice, no warning, no apologies, just be aware that Publix on 54 (at least) charges for writing a check over the amount of the purchase.

And another thing……….. I purchased several items from the same Publix, that were marked LOWER on the shelf and much paid a much HIGHER price at the register. After bringing this to their attention nothing was done about it. They don’t honor their store policy either. Three strikes you’re out PUBLIX on 54 in PTC

Next time try using the ATM machine at your own bank if you need money. No charge.

I've had nothing but good service there. I don't expect them to provide me with a free ATM though. I will say that.

Wow...very surprised about the problem you had at Publix in P.T.C. It is so out of their character. We go to the one @ 92 South & Hgwy. 85. It is awesome and so are most all of the employees.Dale and Dennis are managers there & they both go above & beyond to help you any way they can. It is a clean store, shelves are always stocked and when you are not sure where an item is,they take you or they will go & get the item for you. Not like some other stores that just say: "hmm, try aisle 9,well,it may be on aisle 7"...Publix is great! Customer service is # 1.

In the late 80's and early 90's the unions used to hire rent-a-bums to stand outside the Publix stores while holding boycott signs in an effort to pretend to be union members. This went on for several years until the union finally gave up (or went broke doing it) unionizing the Publix employees. Ever since that time I have had the utmost respect for Publix and my bride and I shop there faithfully.

To their credit they do not require me to carry some stupid grocery card so they can track my sales and penalize me if I do not use it. I have vowed not to use Kroger because of their tracking my every purchase and their wussy stance with the Teamsters.

Publix deals with their customers straight up. No tracking. No penalizing me because I don't give them my name. Clean stores. Very helpful employees. And a no tipping policy. I do tip for there for good service anyways.

Publix was also recently named one of the best employers in the country by "I don't remember" and supposedly they pay their employees fairly as they seem to have a very stable work force in place.

Vote Publix & Vote Jack Smith.

The customer service there rules..You never have to wait for more than a few minutes and they offer to load your car..Kroger may have Unions but publixs has double the staff to help you out..Never have had to wait more than a couple of minutes for help..and their meat while more expensive is much better quality.

We all sound like a commercial.

I visit both Kroger and Publix weekly.(since I have teens that eat me out of house and home). Publix has the best customer service and Kroger has the best prices..I visit Ingalls once in a while but they do not have a variety of items and their house brands are yucky..I also make a monthly visit to Food Depot which has great prices but little selection and horrible customer service.

I have visited that Publix a few times recently. I guess I'll just continue shopping at Kroger on Crosstown. They do not charge for checks and if the price of the item is incorrect, it's FREE.

And Wal-Mart.

Some very big price differences on some things between them.

We don't do checks over the amount, so I cannot address that.

But whenever the shelf did not match the register, which is rare, the service counter always adjusted it for us without issue.

We even have brought stuff back that we did not catch the error on until later.

That is strange.

Whenever the price is not what I observed on the shelves they have not only been good about checking but giving me one of the items free if the checkout does not match the aisle price. The check cashing fee is noted all over the Wilshire store too..

You just agreed with me, here. And I just agreed with you, elsewhere.

Weird day indeed. Laughing out loud
