Sam Chapman is a RINO?

Out of curiosity, why does Sam have his signs up in his own front yard of his father's bank on Hwy. 85 and immediately next to it is a Democrat named Gail Buckner from Clayton County?

She is running as the DEMOCRATIC candidate for Secretary of State, she will run against either Karen Handel or Bill Stephens on the Republican side.

So why does Sam have her sign in his own front yard right on the main road leading into Fayetteville?

Some have said, the Chapmans became Republicans merely to get elected. Now I'm beginning to think this might very well be true.

Unless, Gail has voted for all of the great banking rules that allowed the banks to give out high interest loans that fail in a few months so that Sam can then buy the property back via his wife's company....

How else would somebody like Sam be able to own 40+ homes?

In the first forum with The AJC, Chapman said his favorite TV character was Dr. James Dobson.

No Dem is that big a fan of Dobson.

Although maybe he's a CINO?

That's not fair. I don't know the guy.

Let's just stick with the fact that no true Democrat is true fan of Dobson. I think their thoughts on policies conflict.

When I first meet him I felt sorry for him because I could tell that something is not right with that boy. Now after watching him operate, I view him as a crooked liar. His business practices are well known. If he gets elected it will be to only enrich himself even more. He will be openly on the take - just watch. He has all these wild ideas about how to spend the taxpayers money. Of course he is a DEMOCRAT. Since he is so rich he can pay for all these ideas from his ill gotten gains. Rules and laws don't apply to him. Ethics? What is that?? Look into his eyes - that tells it all.

Sam was so off base on the Equestrian park at Kenwood that I lost all interest in his candicacy. It was so out there how can I take him serious...

And that's why you should have voted for Jack Smith and not Linda.

Isn't it funny how all the Linda supporters are coming on here and making a single posting slamming and sliming the Sammy Dude? I guess you would call that a last minute desperate campaign tactic. I think Linda has more that one screen name and is using them up tonight in an effort to drive by and slime ole Sammy. Whose mind is she going to change. PTC Guy's and mine?

Cal was right when he told me to watch the sight tonight and report such shenanigans as they took place. Well you guys can slime and run but I'm here to git ya.

Vote Jack Smith....oh and I about forgot...The Duck.

She's slamming the guy who is not her real competition. Don't vote for Sam is a no brainer. What is your argument about Jack?

How could you tell Old Simon had voted in advance?

I will go for Jack Smith on the first round. Absolutely. But if Linda's there in November I'll go for the guy who admits to being a Democrat. Still not sure what I'll do about Sonny.

Submitted by historybuff on Mon, 07/17/2006 - 9:56pm.

Vote for the democrat? yeah that makes a lot of sense - NOT. Poor thing he cannot even speak and has absolutely no clue about anything. Linda has a proven track record. I don't really care about whether she speaks to me or not, she is a good commissioner. I will overlook her personality to have a good commissioner who is honest. You always know how she will vote and that gives me hope that we can save this county from the likes of Chapmans. Jack Smith is arrogant and thinks he knows it all, but does not. He will be in bed with development. He has no track record. Better the devil we know than the devil we don't know.

I've lurked on this site for quite a while, but had to respond to this post. Jack Smith is a wonderful and kind person - not a bit arrogant. He will make a great County Commissioner.

Vote Jack Smith Smiling

I couldn't agree with you more. Jack Smith certainly seems to be a great guy with a great sense of humor. BUT, we can't assume that a great personality makes a great commissioner. His ads, etc., all highlighted his civic involvement in various organizations and the positions he held. I still don't really know what his platform is regarding the issues. Therefore, it is difficult to determine his ability to be a commissioner. As nice as he is, I hate to take a chance on the unknown.

Well let's see. He passed the CPA exam and he grew himself a sizable CPA firm (so I've heard). If it takes him a week to learn what he needs to know here, I'll be surprised.

It will take months to fully grasp the role and responsibilities of being a county commissioner. And that's OK. Sometimes it's not what you know but what you do with what you learn. When hiring I do not always look at what a person knows. I'm more interested in what they are willing to learn and produce. I trust Jack to learn and work hard on each issue that comes before him. He will be judicious in formulating wise decisions for the county. Heck...If Vanlandingham, Bost, Wells, and Peter can be a commissioner then Jack ought to ease in there with no problem at all.

See what I mean Life...it's the same repeated personal attacks. Same ole verbage. The Linda train is on a roll. Now she's frustrated because of the Jack Smith endorsements. Jack Smith arrogant? This coming from Linda?

VOTE JACK SMITH

Next one please.

Politics or not, that was a lie. That is my problem with Greg and Linda both. Slimy politics. Jack is just an intelligent laid back guy. For that alone Linda, I hope you are history. Jack Smith doesn't have an arrogant bone in his body.

Now he doesn't know what he is since the Republican party left it's grassroots agenda. He'd call himself an Independent but that's what Bernie Sanders calls himself. He'd like to be a Libertarian but the Duck has deep reservations about legalizing drugs and prostitution. What next pedophilia? And it would certainly never happen that you would find the Duck voting Democrat. Duck feels the Democratic party of the 60's & 70's is more Conservative than the RINO party of today.

I can appreciate your comment about the guy running as a Democrat. At least he's honest in his admissions. Good point.

Vote for Sonny's primary opponent. Ole...uh...whats his name.

Meanwhile ole Duck will be seen meandering around aimlessly trying to find the party that abandoned him and put the Republicans into power in the first place. Guess I'll follow in his duck steps.

You said earlier in the week that everyone had made up their mind in this election but I had not. You just helped me decide. I think I will vote for the unknown other Republican candidate for Governor. I'm thinking his name is Berry but I'm not sure.

I'm sick of Democrats switching to Republican to gain the popular vote.

Mr. Berry can thank me.

And to think that my daddy said I would never amount to anything.

Do you think it may be possible to stop the BS about Sonny Purdue and Mark Taylor, the candidates for sure tomorrow, and talk about something serious to the USA? Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, anything where we are getting killed and maimed? I don't know about you but I am really fed up with all the killing and wounding with no end and no hope of winning, the enormous debt our children will suffer with for scores of years, the bandit banks that have put our people in credit card and house debt to unbelievable proportions, our manufacturing disappearing overseas, our borders leaking like fish nets, our armies being made pawns, our generals afraid to speak up, gasoline at 3+ dollars and everything else of petro to follow soon, and of course all of the corporate executives who are generally let off with nothing, (95%), and those few "examples" let off easy. You were told about this bunch the first Bush-Cheney term but you didn't listen and did it again like fools. Is it worth destroying our country to attempt to get a few rich? Even Kerry wouldn't have us in this position.

Submitted by lifeinptc on Mon, 07/17/2006 - 8:05pm.

I'd vote for Gail before I'd vote for Karen Handel. If she wins the Republican nomination for that race it will be the first time since the 1980's that I voted Democrat. The second time will be if Linda Wells wins the Republican nomination for Commissioner.

You'll live to regret it. I've never voted Democrat and I wouldn't want to mess up my record that goes back to when I voted for Ike. Just leave that race alone. Actually if you really wanted to vote for a Democrat you could actually vote for Linda and not even leave the Republican ticket. Many believe that if the demographics changed she'd run as a Democrat in a heart beat. Kind of like Sonny and others who convienently switched in the 90's. If the Demo's were still in power do you think Sonny would have really become a Republican? Vote for his opponent...ole what's his name.

As far as RINO's go Carpe....I think Sammy (our future Boss Hogg) would fit right in with the rest of em.

Vote Jack Smith....the safe candidate. Ok..I'm not old enough to have voted for Ike.
