Bill Stephens is the real Republican's choice.

Secretary of State; Bill Stephens, no doubt.

I'm so glad Karen Handel got my attention and made me do the research. Bill Stephens is so much more qualified for this position. Karen Handel's only claim to fame is observing the corruption through out Atlanta. How hard was that to spot. Her weakness is she now assumes everyone is as corrupt as what she is surrounded by. She is unaware the rest of the State is not that way. She cannot function properly statewide.

Bill Stephens is a steady proven conservative. He is exactly what we need in the Secretary of State's Office.

We don't need Fulton County/Atlanta thinking for the whole state.

What are two of things that Bill Stephens and Sonny Perdue have in common?

(1) Both got hit with huge ethics fines
(2) Both were Democrats for 50 years before joining the GOP.

Both are phony and corrupt.

They will say like so many other Dixiecrats "Oh, gosh, the Democrat party just moved away from me." That is horse manure. Perdue and Stephens and so many others joined the GOP for convenience and still cater to their old Dixiecrat buddies. Each of them could have joined the GOP 20 years ago when they had the perfect leader---- President Ronald Reagan.

Man! Actors come cheap (especially old worn out ones) who do the bidding of those around him, but Reagan--perfect? He started this debt thing which eventually will kill us. You can buy most anything on credit as Reagan did (he destroyed the old conservative party) but sooner or later?

We have been in debt many decades. And economists will tell you it takes 2 to 3 years of Federal policies to show impact on the debt. Also, things other than Federal policy also impact debt.

Note where they upswings began and who was in office prior.

National Debt

The decline began a year before Bush took office. In the just prior years Clinton implimented a bunch of new fees and excise taxes. Plus his foreign policy was showing up.

You see the swing up beginning under Carter and Clinton on the first Chart.

On the debt chart you see the big swing beginning in the 60 and escalating. Liberal spending Democrates controlled Congress during those years.

They even killed Kennedy's tax cutting income gains by spending it at a higher rate than it came in.

Even with the author, here, trying to dump on Reagan and Bush, his own charts deny him. And affirm other things than politics affect debt.

Reducing spending on Defense is a fool's way of reducting spending.

While the liberals slashed defense, foreign aid and entitlements remained.

I am not talking Social Security or such. I am talking welfare and other such programs that developed a sub-culture addicted to it.

Even the efforts of the states to end it were damaged by Congress demanding they pay for illegals and such.

Today, we have politicians afraid to touch those programs and laws. They believe they will get knocked out of office if they do.
