I admire your loyalty . . . but success is measured by results. The answers to the 20 questions lack substance. The 'cowboy' style of governing is changing - now there is talk of diplomacy, partnership, cooperation with allies. Let's hope we see better results other than higher oil prices, etc. Blind loyalty is dangerous.

And who are these allies we are suppose to get so cosy with? France, Russia, Iran, North Korea, China and so on?

Yea. We can really trust them.

I say that as an independent. Fed up with both parties sucking up to foregin governments who just want our money.

We don't have to trust them. In fact, we shouldn't trust them. But as the world's sole superpower, we DO have to work with other countries. And "working with them" does not mean dictating terms, as President Stumbletongue has found out belatedly.

You want to talk about trust? Did you see the news from England this week? They polled their country with a very simple question: Can the United States be trusted? As recently as 2001, the number responding "yes, the US can be trusted" was in the 75-80 percent range. Today's stark numbers: a whopping twelve percent of Britons think America can be trusted. And this is arguably our closest ally in the world!

Another interesting parallel would be presidential visits to Ireland. Reagan went to Ireland and a quarter million Irish turned out to greet him in 1983. Clinton went in the 1990s and something like 400,000 turned out to cheer him. Bush went in 2004 and they had to seal off the streets, shut down public transportation and move him from the airport in an armored personnel carrier like some two-bit dictator in a banana republic.

Whether you choose to admit it or not, America has forfeited its position as the moral leader of the free world, largely due to the inept leadership of George W. Bush. Sure the world still fears us, and rightfully so, but they no longer respect us. It will take a long time, probably beyond our lifetimes, to repair the damage done to international relations by the Crawford Coward.

I gotta plan and I think you'll love it Basmati. In attempt to restore trust and to get the rest of the world to like us we can do one of two things:

1. Let's switch sides. Let's arm the Arabs surrounding Israel with the most sophisticated weapons we have. Give em some really good bombs and missiles. Train up the terrorist and turn em loose with a bunch of our fighter aircraft. Blockading the Israeli ports would be helpful and we could loan them some of our naval ships to sink anything that comes and goes. And we wouldn't have to spill a drop of American blood. We could have it all delivered to Iran who already has a supply route in place throug Syria. And since you've convinced everyone here that there is no god then surely the Jews won't be able to expect any kind of miracles to happen. You know....that Armageddon thing.

2. An easier way may be to arm the Terrorist Arabs (our new friends)with a bunch of tactical nuclear weapons. This would most definetly help to reduce the bloodshed for our Arab buddies and it would cost a whole lot less to the American Taxpayer. We have some really big nukes we could give to Iran to ensure the destruction of Israel just in case the little ones don't work. I can see it now...Kaboom. Immediately the Arabs can settle the new nation of Palestine as Arabs love living in wastelands.

Now we've accomplished much in a very short time. We've gained the respect of the rest of world and surely accolades will rain down upon us from the UN. We've earned back the respect of the rest of the world and most imporantly that of the EU. And then perhaps....they might like us. That's what it's all about isn't it? Being liked? Then we can do another poll in England and see if we do a little better.

Thanks for the admiration, loyalty comes along with duty, honor, country and all that stuff. Sorry you don't like my answers, but stupid questions deserve flippant answers.

I kind of remember the President trying diplomacy, but it's tough when your supposed allies sell you out for oil. Can you say oil for food, Russian and French weapons captured in Iraq, etc?

Blind Bush hatred is equally dangerous.

Thank you for your "Questions". I, for one totally agree.
I never felt compelled to Email a standing President before until the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina..that justified it for me.
Now I recognize the "W" stickers and just shake my head and laugh.
I pray for my Grandchildren and the price they will have to pay.

That's hilarious. The Governor of Louisania didn't even call for help until the situation was totally out of hand. I won't even bring up the incompetent Mayor of New Orleans. Who was just re-elected with votes of people who have ZERO intention of ever living in New Orleans again.

In case you didn't know, States are responsible for their own welfare, and it's their call to bring in the Feds. But you go on thinking W caused Katrina, and ALL the problem associated with it.

On a side note, when will the folks with all the Louisania tags either go home, or get tags in Georgia?

Let school and muncipal buses and other vehicles set there and get flooded instead of using them to get people out.

And refused to let Red Cross in.

And, well, and a long list of other issues.

Then they blame Bush.

FEMA had issues, for sure. But to try and let Louisiana off the hook for its amazing failures is ridiculous.

Last I looked, Bush was not the governor of Lousiana.
