It was just an ordinary summer afternoon on the hot asphalt at Fayette Pavilion. But things got a lot hotter June 29 for three Atlanta men charged with attempting to traffic in marijuana.

Corey Moore, 24, along Brandon Jones, 19, and Kelvin Finch, 26, were charged with criminal attempt to traffic in marijuana, according the Fayette County Sheriff’s Drug Suppression Task Force Commander Mike Pruitt.

Task force agents, Fayette County SWAT team members and Fayetteville Police made quick work of the attempt by Moore, Jones and Finch to make a transaction with undercover agents for 30 pounds of marijuana. Agents seized $2,400 in cash and an Oldsmobile with Clayton County tags.

Commenting on the two bullet holes visible near the driver’s door on the maroon Olds, Moore told agents the vehicle had been fired on during the last drug deal with someone who tried to rip him off.

As usual you are continuing to draw the dregs of Clayton and Fulton County. It's been a blight on our county ever since it was built.

Thanks to the Sheriffs SWAT Team and Fayetteville Police for being there and busting them up. Maybe they'll eventually get the picture that they need to keep their crime and drugs in their own counties.

Can't believe they were from Clayton county. Real Shocker.
