Politics is corrupt and dirty- period. And those that run are usually the same. However, that being said- Does anyone here really "know" Sam Chapman? If think if you did- you would not be even considering voting for him. In fact you would be afraid- very afraid. To say the best of him- He is not the most scrupulous of charcters- despite his nice picture on the sign.

I however do not know Eric Maxwell at all but hear thru the grapevine (of those that know him well) that he is okay.

Chapman is very scary. He is a bottom feeder. Preying on those that cannot get loans otherwise. Have you seen Talbot State Banks ads? They say bad credit - no problem, etc. Then when they cannot pay he "helps" these poor distressed soles by taking their property in his wife's name. Someone should look up Alliance Lending. He owns about 50 properties worth over $200,000 each. How many 29 year olds can do that. It stinks. He would make a very corrupt elected official.

So do the right thing and vote for Jack Smith.

Greg Dunn, Linda Wells and Peter Pfeifer all stepped up to the plate when they learned that the citizens of Tyrone were serious about saving Shamrock Park. They all rolled up their sleeves and contributed significantly! Where were Tyrone's Council members except Grace and Gloria? Perhaps they really don't care! But, they do care about the $18,000.00 committed to Tyrone recreation, especially Councilman Smola. Come to the July 20th Council meeting in Tyrone at 7:00 p.m. to defend what the citizens of Tyrone have been working for; i.e. a cleaned up Shamrock Park! Let's be sure that this money is used to continue Shamrock Park's beautification.

I do hope Tyrone uses the money well.

But, that does not change the fact the money was to buy votes.

I would have applauded louder 4 years ago and I live on the extreme south end of Fayette County. But I was in Shamrock Park playing baseball years ago and hearing that the county was giving Tyrone no support. Then I hear they are going to spend 2.5 million then 10 million then 18 million dollars on a park in the Kenwood Road area. When I've seen the parks in Tyrone, Brooks Peachtree City and even Kiwainis with NO BATHROOMS!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! NO BATHROOMS!!! I hate to scream but imagine going to watch baseball games and the bathrooms are closed but plans are in the works for a multi million dollar park on KENWOOD ROAD!!! With basketball courts!!! Eighteen thousand dollars to Tyrone and three County Commissioners deliver the check. Pleeeeeeeaaaazzzzzzze!

are meaningless, and this one proves my point. Anyone that believes Wells and Dunn will win are just not in touch with the mood of the citizens of Fayette County.

And by the way, Bost's essay of untruths, half truths and assumptions change not one iota of fact.

Go to the "Have a little Funn with Dunn" Blog,
then click on Funn with Dunn

It may take a minute or two to download, but it is so worth it!!

rather than each candidate paired up. I don't see it so much in the polls but in public I've heard some that still want to give Linda another try. Most everyone agrees Dunn is gone. Even long time financial supporters didn't give him money because they didn't believe he had a chance. My question to Linda would be, if Maxwell wins and you do too how will you handle that. Will it be constant bickering or will you seek to get along?

Yes a poll presented with individuals instead of pairs would be more meaningful. Linda winning is not realsitic, but if you want to know what she'll do without Dunn to tell her how to vote -- she'll have to take someone else on as her coach - probably the new chairman, Frady.

Hey, Did anyone else see THE NATURAL online this morning??? She must have logged in to vote for her hubby & Linda today!? WOW, was I surprised!

I saw The Natural lurking about and Justaskin....not to be confused with Justasskin who posted something yesterday.

Well that's pretty pitiful since so far she's only established 25% of the vote, even with her cheating!

But didn't Dan Tennant win the Mayor Poll on this website? If he wasn't winning at the time of the election, he was way ahead early, and Cal had to get involved with the multiple voting. Not saying that Dan was stacking, but someone said they were. My point is that he ended up not showing near as well in the actuall election as he did in the poll.

I know mulitple screen names has been bounded around lately, to a point that I completely glazed over at the tech talk. But there has got to be a way to keep these polls more accurate. I know they are by no means scientific, but can nothing be done? Otherwise, I am afraid they are just space filler.

Or, are the skeptics just to edgy? I don't think so.

This has nothing to do with you Harvey but the topic made this pop in my mind. I was talking with a family today that was going to be on vacation the week of July 18 and had forgotten to get an absentee balot. You don't need one anymore. They now have advanced voting and you can actually go and vote now in room 208 (on the second floor of Stonewall) every weekday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

You don't have to wait for July 18 anymore you can vote when it is convenient to you and not have to wait in line. Don't be dictated by the polls schedule. Janet, you can't take the Natural or Just Askin with ya. They still check i.d.

Submitted by doc on Thu, 07/06/2006 - 7:24pm.

If you have other plans for July 18th you can vote now, Monday thru Friday 8a.m. to 5p.m., in room 208 on the second floor of Stonewall Village. It's called advanced voting. The best thing about it is so few people know about it there is never a line to wait in.

There are 16 votes for Dunn and Wells. Their shyster lawyer Hobbs is one, Linda is one, so Janet has fourteen screen names.

Two people (as of this posting) want to see Chapman and Dunn on the same Commission. Who would moderate their fights, Frady? I guess that would be entertaining.

No matter how you read the votes things aren't looking to bright for the Emperor so far.

It is up to 10 now who want to see Dunn and Chapman on the same commission - not pretty. Even less pretty is what 59 propose (as of Monday)--- Maxwell and Chapman. That would be really really bad since a Horgan/Chapman alliance would form, and Peter would blindly follow - wait!!! - no one for Peter to follow - he hates Frady, would hate Maxwell for defeating his Daddy - my goodness, he'd actually be on his own. Unless he joined the Horgan/Chapman alliance - scary.

The Poll is not set to only allow logged in members to vote, and vote only once.

SOOOOOO, everyone can vote multiple times, making the poll meaningless.

Kinda like them not liking photo ID's for voting.
