Drug Agent's Wife Speaks w/Greg Dunn:October, 2005: Capt. Mike Pruitt made an online purchase for work clothing. Mid June, 2006: I, Mrs. Mike Pruitt, decided to question Commissioner Dunn about the article in the AJC. I told him he had put my family in danger by allowing my name to be printed in the paper. His response was, “It should pose no threat because your husband’s name is in the paper all the time”. I had to actually convince him that his actions DID INDEED pose a threat for my family. All our personal information is listed under MY name instead of Mike’s, due to the type of work he does. By linking the two names together, information, such as our address, is easily accessible. Same Day/Mid June: I spoke with Kevin Duffy… When I introduced myself, he was already familiar with who I was. When I told him he had put my family’s life in danger, he responded with, “Well, have you been threatened?” So, I had to explain my situation again. I asked Kevin if he uses exact quotes in his articles, or if he paraphrases his interviews. Kevin stated he tries to use exact quotes when possible and put me on hold to gather notes from his interview with Greg Dunn. I still don’t understand why this Invoice was so important that it was worthy of publication in the largest newspaper in the state. Maybe, Greg Dunn was attempting to discredit my husband? I know Janet Dunn wrote a Blog on July 1, 2006, to address a “rumor” going around about her husband “leaking” information. Greg Dunn may not have been responsible for the actual “leak”, but I hold him solely responsible for what transpired after that. I openly question Greg Dunn’s character, integrity, and honesty. My husband and I feel violated and vulnerable, and every citizen reading this should be aware that this could happen to you! Today, I have been watching television coverage of Dekalb County Officer Dennis Stepnowski’s Funeral. Officer Stepnowski was killed on June 29, 2006, in the line of duty, while assisting Narcotics officers. On that Thursday morning, my husband awoke and went to work the same as officer Stepnowski. They kissed their wives good-bye, and went to work to protect the public. The only difference between the two men is, my husband came home, and Mrs. Stepnowski became a widow… I feel very sad for that family.
