I want to make a good decision.....

I know that most if not all of what comes out of a politician's mouth is BS, so who am I to believe. Other than the clayton/fulton invasion (what are we gonna do about that folks!! *tollroads*), I am happy with the current state of Fayette county. We could be way more developed than we are now. I am sure the second that developers have the opportunity, they will develop the county to max capacity. Something must be blocking massive development. I cannot vote for anyone that will change that. Both candidates say they wont. One has a pretty good track record, the other has none. And the other is a lawyer.... So I would logically believe that the one with the good (not perfect) track record would be the one to go with.

I dont care about the whole sheriff thing. What happens there is not gonna change fayette county. the sheriff deal seams to be everyone's main motivation. That is so negligible to me! I want to know who will protect unincorporated fayette county. Let the cities build up, thats kinda the point of a city, but the beautiful wide open spaces need to be left alone. Otherwise we turn into anytown metro atlanta.

I dont know what mr. maxwell's intentions are. He has not answered my emails and the only information I receive comes from highly biased individuals and a propaganda website. It seems as if he was trying to deceive about the whole $500,000 to sue the sheriff accusation. He is a lawyer. He has no track record. So why is everyone supporting him? Will someone let me know what everyone else knows, please?

I wish the citizen would do more professional opinion pieces on the issue, i'd rather hear from them than from some nameless person on the net...

The candidates (most of them at least) have had essays published in the paper (and most answered questions we posed also) starting last week and it's all online too. We'll have two more weeks of essays forthcoming.

My name is Ryan Kilgore, i live in Woolsey. I have been a resident here for 15 years. I am 22 years old and I would like to be able to someday raise my kids here. I dont want to end up having to raise my kids in the midst of insane traffic, clayton like crime, and over development. In my opinion, as development increases, everything bad comes along with it.

I asked a question, I want more information about the candidates. Mr. Maxwell provides virtually none. I WANT TO KNOW MORE! His own website is hardly enough. I thought i read through all of the candidate's questions and such on this website, but maybe i missed something. But as far as i can see, maxwell is not clear on his stance towards development. He doesnt seem to take it as seriously as dunn. It seem as if the sheriff issue is the most important issue to him, i could care less. If you have more information, not opinion, on his stance towards development, let me know.

I didnt attack nameless bloggers...i just cant just believe someone cause they say something is true. most, if not all, of what has been said on the blogs is opinion, most of which is full of personal attacks. im not likely to believe insults...

btw...
It seems as if most of the bloggers on here will just attack anyone who doesnt flat out agree with them. I dont necessary agree of disagree with anyone yet. I have analyzed what i have read so far, and i want to know more so i can MAKE A GOOD DECISION!

If you think i work for dunn just cause i think he looks more favorable right now, you are a complete fool. I just want to know more. Sounds like most of yall take the "your either COMPLETELY with us or against us" stance. thats just stupid

I'll have to respond in stages because there is some part of my response the Citizen doesn't like. I'll have to post it a bit at a time to see what it is they don't like

Ryan, if you really grew up in Woolsey why is your punctuation that of someone educated in Clayton County. No one here demands perfect grammar but punctuation above a third grade level is appreciated so we don't all feel we're in a 13 year old chat room. That was our first clue that you may not be real.

Then there were some of your odd comments. "I just can't just believe someone just cause they say someting is true." ... Uh a little confusing there Ryan, then why did you ask? If you didn't come for an opinion then you're in the wrong place.

"In my opinion, as devlopment increases, everything bad comes along with it." .... This to me sounds like a sixty-something year old woman pretending to be a 22 year old man. The 22 year olds I know would be offended by the portrayal.

"I'm not likely to believe insults." ... Now I know you're in the wrong place.

"...i want to know more so i can MAKE A GOOD DECISIION!" ... Takes more than just information to do that sport. You must be able to process the information you receive. If you're too confused just follow the lion and vote for Donald Duck.

Then there was the comment, "thats just stupid"... It's like Michael Jackson calling me queer.

You've got to realize that when you enter an arena full of wild animals and your the new cat on the block we're gonna scratch and claw a bit to try to figure you out a little. OK. Your not a Dunn operative...my bad. But you are focusing in on the right race.

I have stated in the past that I am supporting Jack Smith and Donald Duck. Jack Smith is an easy pick. Maxwell / Dunn on the other hand. Yuck.

Ok. You've got Dunn. Conservative overall. Good steward of our land use plan. And perhaps he has held our tax increases to a shade below what our Democrat friends would have. Now Greg likes to control. I mean really control. Note I did not say lead. Not only control the county but what goes on in each of the cities also. The way it appears he thinks he is King Dunn. And he thinks his powers superceeds those of the cities of Tyrone, PTC, Fayetteville along with the Sheriffs Department. If challenged he will enact the powers of the county government to sic his pit bull (Bill McNally - County Attorney who also serves as a commissioner in the 6th commission seat) on the government entities that dare challenge his authority. It has repeatedly been proved out in the courts of law that the commissioners' lawsuits have had the same validity as that of the left blaming Bush for global warming. He has cost the taxpayers of Fayette County much money and credibility chasing after frivilous lawsuits in hopes that perhaps one of them might stick so he could someday say "I told you so". Now McNally...he always wins. He gets to pocket the cash win or lose. Greg's real goal is to run for Congress when the goof ball Lynn Westmoreland runs for govenor. The bottom line with Greg is that 8 years is enough.

The problem is his challenger. A sue happy trial lawyer who trashes on Dunn for his frivilous lawsuits. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Sue boy is the candidate of the far left wacko developer groups whom would develop their own mothers back yards if there was a nickel in it for them. He is also backed by the rest of the trial lawyers (who tend to also run in packs). Some of the judges that Mr. Maxwell has endorsed in the past are somewhat questionable. There was a instance when Eric, Susan Brown and Momma Annie, The Webbs paraded Leah Sears around Fayette County as she ran for the Georgia Supreme Court. Now this would equate to the likes of lets say Dan Lakly campaigning for Cynthia McKinney. One would have to questions what that person really stands for and why would he compromise the Republican principles that he claims to honor to support the most liberal and left wing judge to ever sit on the Georgia Supreme Court bench. When asked one time why he supported a questionable Superior Court Judge in and election his response was that the judge provided "good home cookin". Let me know if you need an interpretation of that. I just do not see Eric Maxwell as an ethical candidate. I worry about what his true motives are.

So we have two candidates that in my humble opinion stink. One way to narrow this down is to think about this. Greg has been in there for 8 years and I do not think he has used his position to gain financially from his position. Nor have I seen any evidence of him setting up any good ole boy friends by the use of his position. Eric however troubles me on this point. I cannot say one way or another for sure. My gut is he would turn out to be another Sprayberry and Burrell. The question is how bad do we really want to get rid of Greg.

Just my two cents from a worried, concerned and yes sarcastic taxpaying voter.

By the way Tikiguy. I liked your first subject line better before you edited it. "Are All Ya'll Crazy?".

Alright Tikidog. You have the nerve coming on here slamming all of us nameless persons without using your own real name. I can think of a new name for you with that goofy remark.

There are no nameless persons on here. Let me introduce myself. My name is Git Real. Also known as the shaved cat and many other ugly nicknames. But you can call me Lion if you wish.

Every person on here is a legitimate taxpaying, hard working, give a rip sort of person. We each have our special names and in blog land THESE ARE OUR REAL NAMES. Now then...you may question the validity of our names but the issues, experiences, and the people we discuss here are as real as the buggers you pick out of your nose all day.

All of the questions you are demanding from us have been discussed, researched, validated, and for the most part been proven to be relatively accurate on this website. We may say absurd things from time to time but they bring out funny and very informative facts that we are able to piece together to obtain the truth. If you can't handle the truth or the bantering around of information in search of the truth then you are in the wrong place. I suggest you go back and tell Janet that you posted the blog she requested and open your mouth so they can spoon feed you more of their party line crap to feed your mind with.

As for your subject line "I want to make a good decision...": Who are you trying to fool? Your mind was made up when you wrote you blog.
