nail salon's

Have you ever gone to a nail salon and had a bad experience? Have you called up there and complained? Maybe asked for your money back or for them to redo the original job? Well I say hat's off to Judy's Nails in Westpark. They are not people friendly. If they have to redo a job they would rather lose you as a customer instead of making you happy. I guess too many of us patronize them. But the funny thing is there are too many nail shops in my area to waist time on low talented workers. I spend too much money not to be appreciated.

What does this say about us? A nail salon blog gets a dozen responses on 4th of July weekend. Peachtree City priorities always amaze me.

What the heck is this. Cybils latest attempt to change the subject? We are truly a F&%*ed up society if nail salons are becoming the latest topic.

Every time my bride asks what new businesses are going into a new strip mall I find it simple to answer. A Mexican and Chinese restaurant, a dry cleaners, and the safe bet....a nail salon.

What the heck is it with people that they are so stinking lazy that they can't even trim their own nails? And what's really gross is hearing the latest trends of the metrosexual faggy men wannabes that go get their nails done so they can look just right to fit in with their phony so called friends. No wonder the rest of the world thinks that we have no backbone anymore. Our Arab terrorist enemies sit back and look at all you sissy boys getting your hair styled and your fingers and toes done up and laugh their asses off at us. Jeeezzz, it ain't even just the queers anymore. We're rapidly turning into a girly man society. Kind of reminds me of the girly man acting Romans before the downfall of that great society.

This is a frivolous topic. I've never been to a nail's salon, somebody else touching my toes make me tickle.
I cut my toenails myself and eat my fingernails....if you care for more nasty details, I'll be back after parading on the 4th of July.

The only One left is, there are only 2 kinds of people in this world. Those that Do and say they Do & those who Do and say they Don't.

Yaught, get some balls and post the name of your business, that's if you even have a business. I've seen your posts on here, and if I knew what business you had, knowing the way you have treated some public opinions on this board, I would never patronize your business.

Maybe your one of those "fancy boys" who like to get pedicures.

...to learn some proper English and respect someone elses opinion. Yes, I slashed your comment about Vietnamese people, but that is not an opinion. That was a rude and superfluous remark.

I must come to the defense of Judy’s Nails at Westpark. I have been going there to get my nails done for over six years. They have always been courteous, professional and accommodating.

Judy and Anthony are hard working people and own highly successful salons in PTC and Fayetteville. I doubt they would have been able to stay in business, let alone have their business grow, if they were not “customer service friendly”, as I have ALWAYS found them to be.

Their policy is to fix or repair any broken or chipped nail within three days of service. After that, there is a minimal fee.

Judy was featured in an article of Fayette Women in the November 2005 issue. Do you think they search for UNsuccessful local business women to grace their cover?

Would you go to a restaurant, order a meal, consume it, pay for it and wait three days and then call to complain to the manager? Apparently you would. It sounds like your modus operandi. You probably are the person that wrote about ways to get a free meal from the Three Dollar Café.

One more thing….. it’s WASTE not WAIST.

I tip my hat to you be I agree with everything you say. I laughed a bit when reading the spelling correction. I must point out that she put "nail salon's" versus "Nail Salons." Although I haven't used proper capitalization (and maybe spelling), I know what I should put if I don't bother with thinking.

P.S.You may see me regularly there or see pictures of me there. Just ask Judy or Anthony about "Kathy Doan"

Mia's Nails(was Optic Nails)just opened in the shopping center at the corner of 54 and Peachtree Parkway. The owner is Cindy, and her and her workers are great! I wasn't sure about the color she put on my nails, and she said if I decided I didn't like it to come back and she would fix it no problem. Both times Ive been there, she remebers all the customers that come in, and speak to them by name.
Another bonus, everyone there speaks almost perfect english! She said that she belives if she is going to live in America, she should speak our language. Please give her a try!
To you guys: There have been men in there getting manicures & pedicures both times I've been there. I've tried to talk my husband into it. Nothing sexier than well groomed hands!

On a man? Gee whiz, loveptc, get out more.

I took Hubby for a pedicure (he has really thick toenails) and came back good-looking and relaxed. By the way, what is a "happy ending?"

C'mon....nothing sexier than well-groomed hands on a man? I can think of a few things sexier than a man worrying about his nails. I wonder what the Vietnamese ladies are really saying about the guys that come in there for a manicure....lol. According to the article below...they call them "fancy boys".

I'm glad you broght this subject up toofly!

What are some good shops around Fayetteville? I'd rather get my nails done by someone who speaks English. Does anyone know the differences between Gel Nails, Acrylic Nails, and Diamond Nails? I can never get the non English speaking nail techs to give me a decent explanation.

I ran across this article a few days ago on this subject, it's an interesting read if you get your nails done at these kind of shops.

Gel Nails: Toxin-free, non-yellowing, healthy for your nails in comparison to any other nail product, non-chipping for American or French designs, long-lasting etc.

Diamond Nails: Some toxins (often in Acrylic powder form and applied with superglue) and yellowing. The product loses its quality quickly.

Acrylic Nails: Strong toxins, much yellowing, brittle, not healthy for your natural nails.

I reccommend Gel Nails (it's worth the extra $5). Diamond and acrylic are extremely unhealthy for your natural nails. Don't get tricked by gel powder. It is just acrylic powder and a thin layer of gel. Gel is gel...not powder!

The Vietnamese are actually really nice!!! About the marnicures and pedicures on men, all they say is, "That's a lot of dead skin." It's not that I don't know what they say, I do. I'm Vietnamese myself. It's very mean for you to strike my people like that. I can speak perfect English. If there are any grammatical or spellings errors, then I apoligize. I agree that if people move to The United States or any other country, they should learn the nation's language. There shouldn't be exceptions.

Well, I got no nails, so i don't have to worry about this. I do need a facelift, and maybe some BOTOX under my eyes, but that's all, my look is still reminiscent of how handsome I used to be, don't y'all think so?
