I think someone needs to look into the athletic program for Fayette Co Schools. I think it is ridiculous for parents to maintain the ball fields, pay booster club dues and donate our time and we are still required to pay at the gate to watch them play at home games And other people that work for the schools that have nothing to do with schools sports get to enter any Fayette County event for free. A lot of people don't know that the parents of the teams have to cut the grass on the fields and completely maintain everything inside the fence.

Why do we need all these paid positions when the parents do all the work anyway?

More School tax money Wasted!!!!!

Thank you for reviewing postings. Some are really out of control. The one named Get Real has just about ruined the blogs. It is good to know you are watching.

You find someone you disagree with and you claim they ruin the blogs. Guess you must of went up against me once and you lost your debate. Good day.

You go, Cal! It only takes a few jerks to ruin a good thing.

A poster named Zath, who lives in a familiar subdivision in Peachtree City, kept signing back on with inappropriate comments and threats.

One malcontent has repeatedly misused the open, real-time posting that has become this site's hallmark. Zath apparently found his banning to be a challenge to be hacked around.

This misuse has temporarily forced me to discontinue the real-time aspect of everybody's posts.

I'm sorry. I hope to remedy this by Monday.

This has got to be an aggravation for the staff of The Citizen. I mean, you're all already stretched thin to cover the basics and now, because of the actions of an ignorant fool, you have to review potential posts rather than risk further exhibits of stupidity.

I would've thought the residents of Wynnmeade would've been happy with The Citizen since you stopped printing the erstwhile Peachtree City Police Blotter which was usually replete with names of some of their more "popular" residents.

Hey squirrel. The PTC arrests appear in our Wednesday paper typically along with the other cop shops.

We used to have it in our Friday PTC edition, and that may be where your confusion is coming from.

We haven't let that drop, but there are some weeks when I run out of deadline time and we try to get it online.

...am greatful for your efforts to keep this open forum free of like unsavory elements. While I realize that there is a constant battle between what is truly "free" about free speech and the desire to have
SOME limits on such activity in the name of public safety and decency, I hope that this particular forum will continue to flourish as a spot for political and social commentary. Thank you, again, for your efforts.
