Three Dollar Cafe

I have eaten there twice and gotten sick both times. A friend of mine's daughter works there and said they leave food unrefrigerated all over the kitchen and there are flies everywhere. None of the kitchen staff is certified in any required food safety. Two strikes and your out as far as I'm concerned.

Been eating at the Three Dollar Cafe on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs for more than 20 years. Have never had a bad experience and have never had anything other than the hot wings. I keep looking at the other choices on the menu. They sound appetizing, but I know if I'm there I'm eating the wings. Maybe you should tell management, because they've been doing things right north of the Perimeter for a long time.

I have eaten several times at the location on Roswell Road and it's the best of any of the chain's restaurants. I have never been disappointed in the Sandy Springs location, but some of the other locations (now gone) were just generic and mediocre at best.

I go for the cheesesteaks every time. Oh yeah, beer specials too:)

And decided to flood the Citizen with reports of all kinds of problems. Folks getting sick, folks not being waited on, folks getting served Good Liquor instead of the rock gut stuff. I've never heard such foolishness from people. This has actually gotten funny.

I too have been there twice with problems. The food and service was horrible. I didn't get sick, just pissed off. It's not a big deal, I just wont go there anymore and will tell all my friends and co-workers about my bad experiences there.

Did you call and report it to the local manager?

Did you call the owner/HQ and report it?

Did you call the local Health Department and report it?

If you didn't do any of those things, but come on here to "report" your experience, I'd have to say shame on you! Your report about supposed health violations without any proof are slanderous imho!

Fancypants, there are certain places to do certain things. This forum is for personal comments and reviews. The health department is for enforcing health violations. I do not come here to be disciplined by you fancy pants and listen to what you think I should or should not do. I also could care less if you wish shame on me. And about your "humble opinion" your opinions are yours and yours alone and you should keep them to yourself. There was no slander only personal experience and fact.

"This forum is for personal comments and reviews."

"And about your "humble opinion" your opinions are yours and yours alone and you should keep them to yourself."

Say what??? Do you realize just how stupid that sounds?

So it is ok for you to rant and bring up some hear say about a supposed health violation in a public restaurant, but it is not ok for me to comment on said rant?

Consider yourself spanked, Mr Jeff!

Facts and opinions are different items. I did no ranting, I stated facts. It was not hearsay it was from a reliable source. You may comment on such "accused" rant as you say, but be prepared for a swift spanking back.

You must be another one of those persons who thinks anything is OK unless it is "reported." It is not. Don't you think by now they know they have a problem, even if it is "supposed?"
Come on, take the attitude that things wrong aren't OK unless one is caught! We have enough of that in Washington and Wall Street.

As usual highgreen "interprets" other people's comments and gets it completely wrong!

No, I don't think anything is ok unless it gets reported. But for Mr Jeff here to blame a restaurant for him getting sick, then repeating some hear say about health violations, yet making no mention of what he did about it, just smells of either plain carelessness for his fellow PT citizens, or of a competitor pointing his dirty little fingers!

Myself and my wife are big fans of three dollar cafe and we were excited that they were opening one close to where we live but now due to the comments we have heard we refuse to go there.

Sat at the bar first trip, had a sandwich and a few cold ones. Was good. Went again on my Wife's birthday last thursday evening. Sat in the bar area, service was good, nachos were good, fish sandwich was good. My 14 year old Son never ran out of Coke, and that's hard to do.

All in all, I just think some folks expert perfection, everytime out. I'm not sure that's realistic.
