What happens when illegals gain citizenship?

What will happen when millions of illegals gain citizenship? Will they continue to work in sub-par jobs? Of course not.

What then? Allow more illegals in to handle jobs we are continually assured no citizen will do? Neither they nor others allowed in on work permits will want these jobs, and if they do they will still swell the welfare rolls and medical facilities because they will not be making a living wage and taxes collected will never cover the cost to our medical and educational systems: services they will be eligible for through citizenship.

Let industries pay a livable wage to legal citizens; the extra cost on the market could not possibly exceed the increase in taxes to cover costs incurred by this mess.

We can deploy thousands of troops around the world; surely we can send these illegals home and get the message across that we welcome only legal immigrants. Nothing else will be a deterrent.

Also, it is time that Mexican President Vicente Fox and the Mexican government do something to help its citizens other than to provide them pamphlets on how to enter this country illegally and once here how to apply for benefits or to threaten to sue the United States if they use the National Guard to help strengthen our borders.

An article in the AJC soft pedals the "illigal" portion of immigrants. Please read the responses to this article. I think no one responding is in the mood to coddle illegals.
