There's more to Fayette, Coweta and South Fulton than PTC. He also says that the Web Master is the owner of this forum/blog. Wrong again. The Web Master is employed by The Citizen, and The Citizen owns the forum/blog.

PTC Guy tries to moderate the forum. I believe The Citizen has already published the rules, and since the majority of us can read, we don't need his interpretation.

First, I did not get complain about being taken in. I stated this is a bad thing that is a banning offense on about every forum board out there.

Second, another poster stated they were sick and tired of these antics from any posters.

A server host runs the server for his site. Administrators oversee the site.

I never interpreted the rules. I stated what the Internet norms were and why. Simply because this board is headed for crash and burn when this nonsense is allowed to continue.

I was never mad or angry. I just know what allowing this does to a board over time. And it is not good.

Don't believe me, then think about it. When this came out posting dropped in big numbers. That is a fact.

One liberal was offended at being sucked into the joke aimed at him. He gave moral support the AP and got a knife in the back in return.

Another said he was sick of such antics on a forum. It is not productive and never has been.

Sure, humnor is good on a board. As long as it does not disrupt the purpose of the board. Or insult someone.

What is the purpose of this board? To discuss news. Not to fake discussion, but engage in real discussion.

Also note Get Real was having a lot of jollies and such until HE got caught in the backlash of his pranks. He can give but cannot take it.

The sig line stunt is nothing new. And not the first time someone put me in theirs.

Did it bother me then? No. Does it bother me now? No.

Why? Because it means those posters know I am right and thus cannot simply disregard me.

I am real on the issue. You are not. It is one of the Golden Rules you just do not do on forums.

Most forums give you 3 warnings for rule breaking. Except for that rule violation.

There are reasons certain things are very standard on forums. Good reasons.

And using nick names/poster names/or whatever term you wish to use is one of them. It is called security.

Ask someone who gave away to much personal information and offended a nut case. Then you might actually understand why it is a forum standard. It is called security.

The issue on a forum is the poster's message, not their name.

Which you might understand a bit better if you understand another rule:

Attack the message and not the messenger. Don't make it personal.

You will have to go a long way to get under my skin on a forum. I learned a long time ago how to handle myself.

When a poster or a board looses the credibility they may as well walk away if they will not take actions to make up for their antics. No poster who comes on to deal with a serious subject, at least for them, will give them the slightest consideration.

That is why there is an ignore option on many scripts. It means no new post alerts are sent at a minimum. And on some it will not even display their posts to who put them on ignore. It will reject any private messages.

I am real on what certain actions do and mean on forums. You are not. I have a lot of experience. You obviously do not.

Not growling, getting mad or any such thing. But what you said deserved a reply. So I did.

But, as said before, the board will be whateer the Web Master allows it to be.
