8% turnout: Shame on you, Fayette voters

I went to the Fayette County Web site this morning to check the results of the County Commissioner race. With all but one precinct reporting, 5,242 votes were cast in a county with 62,692 registered voters.

That means a whopping 8.36 percent of those eligible exercised their right to vote.

I guess that means Cal doesn’t need all that space for Free Speech, because 91.64 percent of you have no room to talk!

Fayette County, shame on you!

It is really sad that more people can find the time to submit Free Speech items than can find the time to vote.
