Steve Boone is a straight-shooter

I have lived in Peachtree City for 11 years. One of the first people that I met was my next-door neighbor Steve Boone. Our families have known each other all this time.

Since the beginning, I have considered Steve one of my best friends. Stave and his wife, Jan, my wife and I have enjoyed each other’s company at numerous events including the concert series at the amphitheater. Steve and I have been to many Atlanta Braves games with friends and enjoyed many casual neighbor gatherings including numerous social events.

As I think back, we do have differences; when I first met Steve he was career Army officer. I never served in the military myself but he certainly educated me on what is important about our country’s armed forces.

We both have strong religious beliefs, but in different religions.
He enjoys playing golf (it never been my game) and we belong to different political parties.

How could we be such good friends? The answer is primarily because of the mutual respect for each other and our views.

I know him to want what is in the best interests for our country, our community and strong family life. You may not always agree on the issues, but Steve will tell you what he believes in and he will stick to his position.

His ethics are unquestioned and above reproach. I believe he has the best interest for Peachtree City and Fayette County in his heart and his mind. I feel Steve Boone is the best and ideal candidate for City Council.

Please vote Nov. 8 and please consider Steve Boone for City Council, Peachtree City.

He is indeed a straight shooter and he would have my vote over any of the candidates for mayor or the other council seat. The fact that he's running against the ehically-challenged Steve Rapson who only just recently distanced himself from Brown - conveniently before the election - makes it even easier to vote for him.
