New Traffic Signs

I wasn't aware that we allowed billboards in PTC?!
Easily read traffic signs are a blessing on someone not faimliar with the area, but these are much too large, and completely out of character with the rest of the city.
Don't we have ANY local control?

Are you kidding?!! I love these signs and think it's one of the best things done around this place in a long, long time. It is a big help for people and I believe will help avoid auto collisons with people knowing where they're going because of the signs. The signs need to be larger and stand out to be noticed. I love them!! Lawdawga

Larger is fine. I would have thought the color would have been the usually brown background with white lettering, that has been used for as long as I can remember. The color used sticks out like a sore thumb. They look horrible. Why wouldn't signs on the traffic lights work or smaller signs that are used in other areas? Did the city do these or GA DOT?

One phone call and the sign company admits a mistake and says it will replace the yellow signs with green ones free of charge. No grandstanding, no press conferences, no stand up interviews with Channel 5 - just one phone call and it is mission accomplished. That's why Logsdon is a better mayor than Brown.

Even Kevin Duffy gets to write about it without a hysterical angle. Everyone is growing up.

You have got to be kidding? Logsdon did this? The company screwed up (just how no one knows yet). Incompetence is rampant. It was needed however, the old signs were inadequate.

You know Brown would have been on TV, complaining from the get go. Regardless of whose fault it was.

I also think the signs we had were fine. How dumbed down do we have to make our roads? IF folks would drive anywhere near the speed limit, they would be able to see everything better. This is a big WASTE of taxpayer money, all over Georgia.

For once in your life consider other people who may not have your eyesight and who don't know the roads or streets at all. Half of the town street signs are hidden behind other signs. Causes rear end crashes. Does the sun shine too bright for you, also?

In fact today, it's beautiful. It does seem the bright yellow signs were after all a mistake. I knew it had to be, as yellow signs are usually for a crossing/danger/etc or something else to look out for. Green will be MUCH better, don't you think?
