Road Signs

Does anyone but me see a problem with the new road signs the county has posted on Hwy 54?

It seems that a furniture store sign posted in a very "blending" spot to support our armed forces,is unacce ptable. But the BIG YELLOW signs that are being posted for upcoming road notices are acceptable? It is worse than looking at a resturant sign or store sign that has limits. It really junks up the side of the road. The smaller signs that are posted on the directional signs seem to blend better than these bigger ones.

I don't know about the ones you see...but the signs around me are all crooked as they can be. The state DOT needs to buy a level.

...the State DOT!

Please remember that the highways are the responsbility of the state Department of Transportation.

I actually called Peachtree City's City Hall, thinking they had done this, um, interesting set of illustrations (until I drove to Fayetteville the next night). They told me it was the state's call on that.

The concept is nice, and I understand the color choice (that's the yellow they're supposed to use). Just will take a little getting used to.

So don't go blaming Greg Dunn on this one - call your State legislator instead.
